OIST is students paradise!!

Overall Rating
All questions that are flung in student’s mind while choosing a college, trust me they all will be answered at OIST Bhopal. Academics here are close to being called complete. The placements and campus life too aren't far behind. I am sure the college can still do more in these two departments that are placements and campus life but academics and infrastructure are definitely complete here as college has left no stone unturned.
 

Academics Rating
Till this point of my time at the college that is three semesters done and if somebody asks me how has it been the learning experience at OIST, my answer would be 10 on 10. The style of academics here is quite unique as theories, practical, industrial visits and all are done with our academics here. In short, we are provided the most conducive way to learn engineering here as engineering is not easy but our college has made it look easy.
Fee is quite affordable as its peers like LNCT and other private colleges, OIST charges less and still offers better education than them as our fees is a shade over Rs. 60k a year.
 

Faculty Rating
Considering how quickly the things change in tech world our faculties too have adapted and they make us aware of the things which are not in our syllabus. So, for this reason I rate them quite high as it isn't easy to keep up with all the changes that happen because it isn't easy. So, if faculties make students study hard, trust me they too themselves do the same.
 

Placement Rating
They are better for sure as average placements are yet to reach the six figure mark. Placements percentage is also among the best as in this competitive world the students thrive to get places in top companies at least in that fore, OIST has done remarkably well because best of the best corporate are here for placements.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostels in our college but I am not hosteller as hostel rules are quite steep and therefore I have taken a PG close to the campus. There are many girls PG and our college area and PG’s are quite secured here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure has added all the dimensions that can make students life amazing. Classrooms are exceptional but so are labs and other facilities related to academics. OIST boast a clean and very secured campus to its name as cameras are everywhere and it is impossible to find blind spots other than playgrounds which are supposed to be free as that's an area or place where students are set to express themselves and our college has ensured that students get as many sports facilities as possible to express themselves.
 

Campus Rating
In terms of campus life, Yes our campus doesn't emulate a campus life that elites engineering colleges like the IIT’s or the BIT’s campus. Our tech fest and cultural events are no less. Participation from students is next level and college also rewards the students who do well in extracurricular activities. So, incentivizing has made sure that students engage themselves in extracurricular activities as they are plenty at our campus.

    Far from the beginning and closer to the end is what story of an engineer is. After getting dejected in JEE counseling and left with choices to enroll in a private college, I certainly looked at the options in my state.     From academics to infrastructure, I don't see any melt down, as facilities in just one and a half year that I have spent here have only gotten better.     Overall, Oriental Institute of Science and Technology will make you feel completely at ease. Don't ever forget the mental strength and stress has done to teen age and young students these days but then there's OIST who address all these issues. We have seminars on the same and beyond education. The senior are helpful and so is the entire staff, be it teaching or non-teaching staff.
