Fee Structure at NIT Rourkela for B.Tech Course

The restaurant and night canteen are best and the food of these restaurants are so tasty that you will never miss you home food. Now inside the campus there are Domino's and Keventers store. This Institute has very beautiful landscape which looks amazing during winters. One of the factor for choosing this Institute is that it's near my home and I know the Institute since teenage, about it placement statistics and academics.

Eligibility criteria to get into national Institute of technology Rourkela is to get minimum 75% in 12th board and a good percentile in JEE Main respectively and the percentile varies for student to student as there are reservation. Currently I'm pursuing mining engineering from this Institute because according to the past statistics this department has very good placement rate as compared to others. The main important thing is that mining engineering is a good branch but most of the engineering colleges don't have this branch due to which it is not popular as the core branches like mechanical, electrical, civil, etc. In academic review I can say that the faculty teaches very fast to complete the course.

The fees for 4 years are around Rs. 8-10 lakh for B.Tech courses. The tuition fees are around Rs. 80k per semester and hostels and mess charges are around Rs. 10k-15k.

Currently I'm in first year so there are many faculty members for every subject and few of them are excellent and obviously one or two of them need to improve explanation. All professors are highly qualified and newly joined professor are quite friendly and very understanding towards students. The classes seem to be hectic as the classes are held from morning to evening. The teacher student ratio in the college is around 1:100.

The campus’s academic block is well maintained. The structure is very modern structure. The campus size is around 1,200 acres and it is located in sector-1 Rourkela. The seating capacity of room is around 160-200 students. The central library is very beautiful and the additional facilities provided by the Institute include 2 storage libraries, auditorium, that is quite big and all the function happens here. Furthermore all equipment are available for the respective sports and there is a health center inside the college and I feel that transportation facility is mediocre.

Till now I have a very chill, pleasant life. There are many clubs and each student has interest in respective field. You can find the clubs regarding it. There are around 6k students pursuing other courses like B.Tech, MBA, PhD, etc. There are multiple coding clubs and the Nitrutsav is the biggest fest of the college where famous singers are invited to perform.
