DYPIET Pune: Eligibility and Cut-off Insights

My overall experience at DY Patil institute of technology Pimpri Pune is very good as the college is already well reputed and campus is also very good. I choose this college because of its high placement rate and good faculties. There are dedicated laboratories in mechanical department here which is different from other many nearby colleges don't have their own thermodynamics lab and working boiler. I will suggest this college to other's because college is equipped with all modern amenities and services also with good teaching methods.

I have chosen Mechanical Engineering because I am interested in automobiles from childhood and mechanical engineering is best for me to work in my favourite area. Eligibility criteria are just that you need to pass your 12th or diploma exam. Here for admission MHT CET and JEE score is accepted. Admission process doesn't include group discussion rounds or personal interview, you just need to clear the in cut off requirement. Cut-off is high for courses which are in demand and comparatively lower for less demanding courses for example for Computer or AI Engineering cut off is 90+ and for Civil Engineering cut is 50+ you can also get caste category benefits during admission.

The total yearly fees here is Rs.1,30,000/- but I am paying Rs.65,230/- per year as I'm getting OBC scholarship by government and my half fees is paid by government. For ST and NT category students fees is only Rs.13,000/- which is development fees of college and at end of the year they can also get back this amount by filling government scholarship form. For open category students they need to pay full fees if their annual income is more than Rs.8 lakhs but for less than 8 lakhs per annum you can get EBC benefits and need to pay only half fees i.e. Rs.65,230/-

Faculties are one of the reasons I choose this college. They are very experienced and understanding their teaching language is very easy. Many faculties hold Ph.D here and are master in their subject. Teachers generally teach on smart boards using ppt. and students to teacher ratio are also great. Many faculties here are very approachable and supportive and my experience with teachers here is very good. They are always ready to solve our problems and doubts and also support and guide us for different extra exams and competitions.

There is a dedicated placement cell in college and placement rate at the college is also very good. The cell always help students to get good job offers and placement, They also arrange mock interviews and alumni meet for our better understanding. Average package here is Rs. 4 lakh per annum and highest package is 70 lakh per annum till date, which was in-spite of machine learning and student was from mechanical engineering. My experience of placement activities here is great while I have not get any placement yet and I will attend interviews from next semester.

College includes total 8 floors and each department has dedicated floor. They are also adding more buildings and floors now as construction is going. There are all facilities like labs seminar hall auditorium meeting hall. Canteen is also very big and food taste and quality is also very good. Library has all the books needed for study during course. College does not provide transport and you can get there by your bike, car or bus. My favourite place in college infrastructure is placement cell which is very neatly designed very modern and includes all the facilities to make corporate environment for interviews.

College crowd is medium and not too much. There are many clubs and groups formed by college and students like Yuva Maharashtra, Sanskriti, Team Interceptors, Durgayan. Extra curriculum activities like project competitions, blood donation camps, environment awareness drive are done here. My overall experience at campus is very good as campus is very neat and clean but only issue here is that college does not have a dedicated ground in campus due to which we have to use outside ground for sports. There is a big sporting event named Parakram.
