THDC IHET Garhwal: Study with the View of Hills

Overall Rating
My overall experience has been good. It is situated in the mountains and weather is impressive. I chose this institute because of its location. If we talk about the campus life, it is also very good. Faculties are really helping nature, and good experience in their subject. According to me, it is the good institute.
 

Academics Rating
THDC IHET Garhwal offers various engineering courses like Civil, Mechanical, and Computer Science Engineering. Students choose courses based on their interests and career goals. The motive for enrolling is often focusing on practical and technical education, along with the unique location near a hydropower project, which provides learning opportunities. For enrolling in this institute, you need to qualify for JEE Main and meet the required cut-off in JEE for the chosen branch.
The fee of this institute is quite good. Total tuition fee for one year is 1 Lakh. Students can fill the NSP scholarship form.
 

Faculty Rating
If we talk about the faculties, some are really very good and teaching and some are quite good. It is very dependent upon the teaching style of the faculty. Here, maximum faculties’ teaching method is using Ppts and some faculties teach on blackboard. Their problem solving ability is good very helpful in nature. My experience and bonding with the faculty is very good.
 

Placement Rating
In THDC IHET Garhwal, placements can be improved. Only few companies are coming in our institute but maximum students got placement through off campus.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel building is impressive because all hostels are newly constructed. The mess food is also good. Hostel close at 7 PM in night.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good and has new & modern facilities. The campus size is 40 acres. If you are really a nature lover then this institute is perfect for you. The classroom size is 100 students and very good condition. The institute has own library where you get the tech related books. The sports are also available for the games like cricket, football, and kabaddi.
 

Campus Rating
According to me, the overall experience is very good because I am a nature lover. If we discuss about the crowd, institute is not very crowdy because it is for B.Tech. According to me, there are 1000 to 1800 students. There are many of clubs related to education, technology, and others are fun purposes.

    THDC IHET is the only engineering Institute in Tehri Garhwal. It carries the name of THDC, the great Indian PSU that developed India's highest rock fill dam, Tehri Dam. The college didn't live up to the expectations. I graduated 12th in 2020 and due to Covid-19, I chose a college near my hometown of Tehri along with my friend.
