Government Medical College Dungarpur: Faculty and Learning Experience

Over all this college is above average. We have academics, sports, libraries, gym, canteen, daily yoga classes and a trip according to wish of batch by college at least one every month (This was started recently two months ago). This is uncommon in other college the batch trips. Other students can prefer this college as we have positive environment and many other extracurricular activities in college like we have volleyball ground, badminton court so we can remain fit and active along with studies.

The MBBS course was chosen by me. Our college offer PG courses too. Eligible candidates in NEET exam can get this college through counselling in state or all India quota. Once you are selected to college then you submit your documents and can get admission in this college. There are two semesters. Other than this we have monthly exam as multiple choice questions. This course prepares us for becoming doctor and see patients and treat their disease.

Fees for all the colleges under the RUHS are same. The first year fees is approx one lakh thirty thousand per year which includes hostel fee for the government seat and for management seat it is approx 9 lakh. For second year only admission fees is not there and rest is same. University fee of exam is dependent on the year of batch, which is about 1000 to 2000 per subject.

Faculty for each subject is very good, we have sufficient number of faculties for each subject. Professors are PG graduate in their respective subjects. They teach us in ppt. We have seminars and also group discussion on particular subject. We have small group talk on given subjects which are different for different groups. We have our practical class in lab for that particular subject. Thus we have good interaction with teacher as this is batch based. Half batch have one practice and other half has other. We have the teachers numbers so that we can ask them our doubts or other problem anytime.

We have stipend of about 25 thousand per month in internship

There are separate hostel for girls and boys. We get good food on time which is not later than 9:30 pm. (Closing time).

We have good infrastructure. Academic blocks have labs, library and lecture hall. Each subject has specimen museum and lab. In anatomy we have anatomy museum and dissection hall and histology hall. We have campus size which in not that large but it is enough for students. Classrooms are quite large and are sufficient for our batch. We have two classrooms on each floor which each having a sitting capacity for 150 people. We have academic facilities like library for study and self study purpose, labs for experiment, seminar hall and canteen for refreshment. We have different type of sports like volleyball, badminton, basketball, and other indoor games like carrom, chess, table tennis.

Our campus life is too good. We enjoy along with studies. College is not so crowded. It provides us a good environment for study and to stay healthy. We have various activities organised by our colleges like we visit the villages, which is a part of our education. We have extra-curricular activities too. We have quiz competition, annual fest which is of generally 6 to 7 days in that we have sports events and cultural activities. We celebrate different festivals in the college like Diwali, Holi, Ganeshchathurthi, Janmasthmi.
