My Academic Journey at Kongu Engineering College

Overall Rating
I chose this college through TNEA counseling process. I got the course of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which is now an excellent course. It will play a huge role in the upcoming years. The institute is very much popular because of its teaching culture, student management, and rules. The main thing here is that it is every listening to the students’ needs and makes the students to be best in the concepts both theoretical and practical.
 

Academics Rating
This is a new course in the college and I am the first batch of this course. I have to know about the course by my brother and value of AI through social media . The requirement is to have a good percentage in the entrance exams. The admission is through counseling. The exams conducted per semester are CATs, once in a month and an end semester examination
The fee structure here is Rs. 1,00,000 per year for the students who are joining through the government quota. For the management quota students, the fee per year is Rs. 1,25,000. Total course fee is 4 Lakh for government quota students and 5 Lakh for management quota students. For first graduate students, there is reduction in fee. I got the scholarship of Rs. 25,000 per year. Hence, total of 1 Lakh for whole course. There is no scholarship for management quota students. I received scholarship called BC of Rs. 8,500 per year and total Rs. 34,000 during entire academic journey.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are our best resources and we want to utilize them correctly. They are very much closer to us and made us study and learn concepts. They conduct training for the placement that is very useful. The method of teaching is through black board and PPTs. the problem solving ability of the faculties are very good. The student to teacher ratio is 7:2.
 

Placement Rating
The placements in our college are at moderate level right now. The rate of placement has decreased since the last few years. Hopefully, it makes efforts to make some improvement in the future.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels in our college are separate for boys and girls. There are totally 8 hostels out of which, 4 are for boys, and 4 are for girls. There are separate hostels for each year students in both the wings. The food and room facilities are up to mark. The other facilities are also good. The timings are also flexible for us.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is very good each and every department has the separate block and the class room are large aand good to spend time and the labs and some library facilities are also awesome.The playground and the auditorium facilities are very very good in our college the admin block the central hub of the college the iT park The convention center asia one of the largests .The favourite things in our college is good court.Cantren, sports,medical, transport, security and other facilities arebalso available here
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is good and exceptional. The crowd is nearly 6000. Yes, there are plenty of clubs and based on our interests, we may join any of the clubs. I am in a part of cultural club. The fests are Enthusia and Swaram. Enthusia is free for everyone but Swaram is a paid one.
