Fee Structure and Scholarship Opportunities at Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute

Overall, Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex is a good institute. I have chosen this institute over others because our institute is under MAKAUT which will add extra value to our B.Tech degree. Another reason for choosing this institute is their big football ground that is very well maintained and is heaven to us football lovers.

I have chosen B.Tech in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) because I am a coding enthusiast. You can take admission in Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex by achieving a decent rank in WBJEE or by taking direct admission through management quota. In my course we have exams in every semester which is conducted by MAKAUT. However, our institute also conducts CA exams which are conducted before every semester. The Semester exams are conducted by MAKAUT and the difficulty level of the exams are moderate.

Total Course Fee is Rs. 5, 45,000. First Semester Fee is Rs. 94,800; 2nd Semester-7th Semester Fee is Rs. 64,500 and 8th Semester Fees- Rs. 65,000. Scholarship SVMCM (Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship) Amount- Rs. 60,000 per year is offered to the deserving students. The criteria required for the scholarship is 6 CGPA in each semester.

The faculty in our institute is well qualified and very experienced. They are very helpful and can be easily approachable at any time. Every faculty member in our institute has Master's Degree. Their teaching methods are quite impressive, and problem solving skills are unmatchable. They mainly use PPT to teach us and clear our concepts. They not only teach us theoretical concepts but also teach us practical skills that are necessary for industry.

Our institute provides decent placement opportunities with average package being 4 LPA and percentage of students placed is around 60%. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, etc. came for campus hiring at Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex.

Hostel facilities are provided by our institute. Actually I don't stay in hostel so I can't give much information about our institute's Hostel Facilities. However some of my friends stay in hostel and they said that hostel facilities are quite good but the mess food quality is quite average.

Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex is located on a land area of 5.64 acres. It is well connected by bus, metro and Eastern railway. The institute is 5 Km away from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. The seating capacity in every classroom is around 50 students. Academic facilities like library, labs, seminar hall, Auditorium, Conference Hall, etc. are also available here. Our library has a huge collection of books and journals which can be easily accessed by the students.

Campus Life at Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex is quite vibrant with fests and many other cultural activities happening every month. Institute is crowded sometimes as the acceptance rate of our institute is quite high as compared to many other institutes. There are many clubs in our institute like music club, dancing club, gaming club, coding club, etc. Many extracurricular activities like football tournament, cricket tournament, chess tournament, etc. are organised by our institute frequently to keep students active. Overall my experience is decent in this institute. If anyone is looking for a good institute at low WBJEE rank then this institute can be the perfect choice for them.
