Overall Rating
My overall experience of this college is good. This college has very huge campus. All branch buildings have free Wi-Fi facilities. I chose this college because according to my rank this college is best for me. Tuition fee of this college is Rs. 1,500 and other fees are according to your year. This college has nice library. In library all books are available for all branches and all semester students. Environment of this college is very good. Faculty members here of this college are very cooperative and supportive towards students.
 

Academics Rating
I personally like IT field so I chose this branch in this college. To get admission in this college first you have to register on ACPC website. It is government website to get admission in GUJ colleges. After registration process it has 3 rounds to get admission. In first round you have to choose colleges that which college will you prefer to get admission in. After result of first round there will be second round for those who are not satisfied from college that they have got in first round and finally the third round is offline so you have to go to in campus for admission process.
Fee structure is as follows: Tuition fee is Rs. 1,500 for all semester student but other fees like locker fee, lib fee, gym fee, etc. varies according to your year of study. For 1st year total fee is Rs. 2,530, for 2nd year its Rs. 2,080, for 3rd year its Rs. 2,530 and for 4th year its Rs. 2,510.
 

Faculty Rating
In this college all faculties are very cooperative and supportive. They are always ready to solve your problems and guide you for your future. All faculties are friendly. Most faculties have completed their Ph.D degree. All faculties are very well educated and experienced. All have cracked GPSC test. All faculties have their unique style for teaching students. Problem solving is very good in all faculties. 2 or 3 teachers are available for all subjects in one branch. Faculties are very approachable.
 

Placement Rating
Placements at this college is not that good but big companies like Infosys, TCS, IBM, L&T visited this college for placements. The Average package is Rs. 3 lakh and highest package is Rs. 7 lakh in previous year in this college. Eligibility criteria for sit in placement is 60% marks and no current backlogs.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is below average. There are 3 hostel buildings but 2 of them need renovation. Just because there is one active building for hostel so I feel that is not good enough. Mess facility is not available as of now so the students in the hostel have to order food from online or near restaurant. Hostel fee is Rs. 5,000. I have not opted for hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This college has well structured campus if we ignore hostel. It has different buildings for all branches and has free Wi-Fi facility. The campus of this college is very large. The classrooms look old but it is ok for lectures. One class room has 80 students capacity. The library has all books for student for all branches and semester. College has canteen but food is average in canteen.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at SSEC is very interesting and it gives mix vibe. The college students are friendly and no ragging in there in college. There are three clubs that are running in college by students:- first is techno, second is Creato guild, third is Cultural club. In this college most events are celebrated like Navaratri, Independent Day, Republic Day, Youth Fest, Cultural Fest, Sports Week, etc. in those events my experience has been very good.

    I joined Shantilal Shah Engineering College in 2011 and going away from home to be a part of SSEC seemed unfavorable by many but I would consider this as a great choice. The name has now changed to SSGEC and the name change has also changed the fortunes of the college.
