Overall Rating
Amrita is one of the backup Institutes for students who try for Institutions like IIT and NIT. But for me it was not like that, I never thought that I will join Amrita in my lifetime. Somehow after all the confusion I joined Amrita. I selected computer science as a major as it would help me in the future. Days passed all went fine until our semester exams. The exams were very hard and all the students including me were very disappointed as the papers were tough. Results came all were sad and were regretting on our SGPA.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen CSE AI course. I wanted to do course in computer science from starting as I am interested in it so I enrolled for CSE with some extras like AI. You have to write AEEE exam and get a pretty good rank to enter CSE department of this Institute and there is other donation way too but you have to put so much money for it. The AEEE exams occur two times for one academic year. These exams make me more stronger and let me face real time challenges.
The fee structure is different for different branches, as I am from CSE-AI batch. The fee structure for all CSE and AI departments are same. There are four slabs, 3 scholarships and one non scholarship slab. First slab is around Rs. 2,00,000, second slab around Rs. 3,00,000, third slab is around Rs. 4,00,000 and fourth slab is Rs. 6,00,000. There are some scholarships for SC/ST category students. There are some admission fees too. The above mentioned fees slabs are for each academic year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties in every department are well experienced and very friendly. In our department most of the teachers are very experienced and they help you in every way you want in your academics. Every classes are taught using smart boards where you get good experience and understanding of the subject. Many teachers are from Kerala and even the assistant teachers help you a lot in classes. They make sure you are clear with all the concepts in their subject.
 

Placement Rating
There is a separate cell for placements called as CIR department. They take care of all the placements related work. From second year onwards you have separate classes in CIR. They help you come out of your stage fears, anxiety and other problems. Amrita Coimbatore campus has good placements if you have a decent CGPA above 7 and this year’s highest package is 56 LPA. The average package is around 9 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
As I am a first year student, I got hostel named Kashyapa Bhavan. This hostel is one of the comfortable hostel. The hostel rooms are four sharing, well furnished and it is more spacious. There are total A to I number of blocks. Each one is of four floors. The mess food is decent enough but not that good. Some days it tastes below average. The annual fee of hostel and mess is around one lakh twenty thousand.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is surrounded fully with greenery scenic. This campus has a beautiful ground it is surrounded with mountains and it has best view during winter. There are totally four academic blocks each academic block has some set of departments. There is a devotional statue in front of each academic block. There are well maintained grounds for each sport with proper equipment's. There is a huge library near academic blocks-1 which is the knowledge hub for students.
 

Campus Rating
As I am from CSE AI batch, I have continuous classes but I have got the best people to spend my time with. The Institute crowd is huge mostly Tamil, Mallu and Telugu people but majority of Tamil students. There is one major fest called as Anokha other than that there are events during Festivals that’s it. There are clubs such as dance, singing, etc. for each extracurricular activity there are clubs. My experience is that there is less amount of exposure other than academics in this campus.

    AVV Coimbatore provides good placements. It has a good campus with mountains surrounded and overall has a nice climate. It has a different curriculum from other universities. The faculties are well experienced and friendly. The students get a nice exposure to different skill set of people very. The seniors are friendly and helpful to the juniors.
