Best Faculty at Chitkara University

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Chitkara University was good. The teachers were outstanding, the campus life was good, and the ambience was perfect. I chose this institute because it has higher placement rates and I will recommend others to join this institute as well. The student-professor interaction is what makes this institute stand out among any other institute out there. Professors are friendly at this university and everyone likes it.
 

Academics Rating
I chose he Bachelor of Engineering (BE CSE) course because I wanted to pursue engineering in Computer Science, as Data Science is my hobby. The CSE department offers best facilities and support for students undergoing Computer Science. Entry requirements are 10th and 12th board marks and JEE. The admission process is quite smooth for university exams are held every month helping students to have a firm grip on their respective subjects. The academics prepare me pretty well for real life challenges.
The semester fee is Rs. 82,000 for my course. There are no special discounts but there are scholarships and financial aid available for students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good and have completed their PhD as well as GATE qualified. The faculty members belong from different backgrounds and different states. Blackboards as well as projector screens are used by them. Problem solving methods of the faculties are good. Teacher student ratio in our university is 1:3. My experience has been pretty good with the faculty members.
 

Placement Rating
Chitkara University provides hostel facilities. It has many buildings for hostels because of high number of students. There are more than 7000 students in our university and the facilities are sufficient according to the amount. Yes, girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate. Mess food is ok and has good hygiene. Hostel fee Rs. 40,000 (onetime payment). Hostel rules are quite strict and timings are also quite strict. Hostlers have to return to the university before 10 PM. I did not opt for hostel.

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has lot of academics blocks with each block assigned the name of their respective known famous person. The campus size is quite large. The classrooms are quite big and can accommodate at least 100 students. All the academic facilities are available including GYM, library, and auditorium. Canteen, sports, medical, transport and security are also available. My favorite thing of the university infrastructure is the food court. The computer science lab is the best, which complements my course.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is quite great. The crowd is huge. There are many clubs like debating, dancing, and public speaking clubs. I have not been part of any of these clubs as I was focusing on my academics and career. There are lot of fests and special activities conducted by our university. Fests are conducted annually. The experience about the campus life is quite great.

    Overall experience at Chitkara University is great except the fact that hostellers have to attend classes at night time i.e. 4:10-9:30, which is very inconvenient as most of us are not used to this shift in timings, but we still manage to study and have fun regardless.     My Overall Experience has been pretty average at Chitkara University. It both has its ups and downs. At one part, everything is great, you will make great friends, score well if you have studied for it, decent and helpful faculty, but on the other end some parts are not so great. For Example, many of the fests and events are only for the hostellers and not for the day scholars, even the access to gym and swimming pools are only available for the hostellers....     This is best private university for the students who are unable to clear JEE mains as this university provides us with average packages of 8 LPA. Teachers of this university are very helpful as they are always ready for helping students whenever any doubt arises.
