Amity University Gwalior Law Program: Eligibility, Fees Structure, and Scholarship Opportunities

Hello I am a 2nd year law student in Amity University. The experience is great till date and the environment is worth giving a try. When I came here for the admission with my parents, they were impressed by the infrastructure and the atmosphere of the campus. The faculty is great and well cooperative with the students. The people here are from different states and places which keeps it diverse to engage with others and learn about different things from them. There is this 75% attendance criterion which sometimes is a trouble but it keeps us attentive towards the lectures so it is possibly acceptable. Events and Programs happen from time to time and its all good.

I chose B.A.LL.B Hons. because of my compassion towards the advocacy and to learn about the law by which the people around me are governed. The eligibility criteria are that the aspiring candidate must secure minimum of 60% in 12th to be enrolled in this course. There are total 10 semesters that are in the course of 5 years and for each semester there is a mid semester that is conducted along with viva and practical. The pattern of the examination is moreover based on the practicality of those laws in the real world so it helps us to learn and implement those learnings.

The fee varies from year to year as in the first year I got a scholarship based on my 12th boards result and had to pay Rs. 35,750 rupee for the first semester and the same for the 2nd semester too. The sum of Rs. 15,000 is also taken for the purpose of security money which is given after you have completed the course. There is no registration fee as it is free and scholarship is given on two major bases- 1 CLAT score and 2nd is the percentage one got in 12th boards so it is great to have a head start with money.

Faculty is highly proficient in their subjects and the professors are very great in their way of teaching. They have completed their studies from renowned Universities and are very confident with their subjects. They basically use PPT’s along with blackboards to convey the topic easily to the students and it results positively. There are numerous professors for the same subject because of the mass number of students in the course and they are on the same level with each other so there is nothing to worry about the skills of the teachers.

Placements are provided according to the merits of different students and many companies come and many students get their placements.

Yes, the University offers the facility of hostel for the students and there are separate hostels for girls and boys. Rooms are big enough and mess is great. Geysers and AC’s are there for the hostellers.

The campus covers more than 100 acres of land and consists of 5 blocks as if now for different courses so it is easy to reach. The maintenance and the environment is worth of taking a glimpse. Classrooms are big enough for more than 80 students with proper ventilation system. Libraries are there for each and every block separately and labs are there. Canteens are privately acquired but they still serve great food and price is also minimal. Play ground is of very big size and separated sports grounds are also there. My favorite place is obviously playground where we can sit with our friends and enjoy the time.

Overall campus life is great and the people here are good too. Making friends with different people from different states make it entertaining. There are different clubs for different courses and fields. Many extracurricular activities are hosted by the University for the students to emerge and take part in their liked ones. Fests are organized and DJ nights are here for the betterment of those events with different mini games and themes to make it interesting. I can say that my life is going on and the University became part of it.
