Fee Structure and Scholarships at Chandigarh University

Overall experience was good. We got to learn a lot about my course that I opted for. Campus is quiet big and the atmosphere of University is very satisfying. This University is best University and it is among one of the youngest growing Universities across the country and it is affordable too. The University is NAAC A++ accredited which is a big achievement in itself. The infrastructure is beautiful. Academic facilities are good. Faculty is supportive and helpful.

I chose the course of civil engineering as I was having interest in construction field. Those who have interest in construction can choose this University. The eligibility criterion is based on your previous examination and if you want scholarship from University there is a test conducted known as CUCET. Exams are conducted after a month and the marks secured in those are added in final exams. The courses offered are taught and are of great help after the University.

The fee for this course semester wise is around Rs. 80,000 per semester. It includes tuition fees, admission fees, registration fees, etc. Discount was provided to students who qualified the exam conducted at the time of admission. Scholarship is provided by government on the basis of merit.

Faculty in Chandigarh University is good and qualified. They have best knowledge of their subject. They are supportive and helpful for all students whenever needed. Faculties are mostly holding Doctorate degree. Their method of teaching depends on topic to topic when needed or discussed on boards and sometimes using PPT. They solve the problems of students in best possible way. My experience with the teachers was that they are very good as they are very friendly and have helped us in every situation where ever we get stuck.

Our University is also known for providing placement opportunities to each and every student as large number of companies visit the campus for placement to select students in various fields. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, L&T, Accenture, UltraTech, etc. have visited the campus. Packages of my course start from 4 lakh to 10 lakh per annum. On an average 6 lakh per year was given.

Yes, University has beautifully designed hostel buildings which are affordable. In rooms there are 5 students, 4 students or 3 students in each room depending on their choice and affordability. Hostels are provided with parks, sitting area, cafeteria, gym, etc. Girls and boys have separate hostels and full privacy and safety is there. The quality of food is good and is provided 4 times a day including snacks. The best thing about the mess food is that it is hygienic. A fee of hostel for the 5 bedroom was around Rs. 75,000 annually. Rules are there like if you want to go out you need to first get gate pass. Hostel experience was really good and memorable.

This part is best. I love the infrastructure of campus and hostel both. It is beautifully designed and very big campus ia provided which includes parks, grounds, cafeterias, parking area, etc. Classrooms are good and around 70 students are able to easily sit in a class and smart classes are also provided. Libraries are provided for each course separately and one central library is also available. The labs are there for each subject, auditoriums are there and conference halls too in mostly every building. My favorite part of the campus was parks and auditoriums.

My overall campus life was full of new experiences and I enjoyed it the most. University is very crowded as lot of students across the country and even outside the country got admission in this University. There are clubs in University but I was not part of any. Along with studies extracurricular activities were there like fest, fresher’s party, Tashan nights, etc. I had my best experience in the University and I got to learn a lot about my course.
