Shivaji College Experience

Overall Rating
Shivaji College is one of the best off campus colleges in Delhi University. Its campus is very nice. Other than campus, it has a sports complex too and its very impressive. It provides facilities for various sports and is easily accessible to all. Metro is just at a walking distance of 5 minutes. There are many places to hangout like EPICURIA and McD. Teachers are also helpful. There are no as such attendance issues. College canteen is good and staff there is polite and kind.
 

Academics Rating
Teachers are helpful in all departments. Anyone can get this college by giving CUET exam and following the counseling process after wards. For general category it requires 300-400/600-800 marks in CUET and you have to attempt 2 semester exams in one year. The number of class tests can vary from teacher to teacher. In my course, they basically teach us IT related things and as we know currently IT sector is growing the most and is a prominent sector so it will help us a lot in outside world.
Total fee for B.Sc. (P) physical science with computer science is Rs. 27,000/- including everything except hostel and mess charges.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are Quite nice. Everyone is quite understanding and polite. Everyone tries to help you whenever needed. They don't pressurize you to study. If you want to focus on something else then you can do that by joining the respective societies. They help you grow and in enhancing your skills so that you can go further in that respective field. Teachers try their best to teach in best possible ways. You can even go to them personally if you are facing any problem.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is also nice. On an average its highest package is around Rs.12-18 LPA. Placement cells are very active here.
 

Hostel Rating
I haven't opted for hostel and mess so I don't have much knowledge about that.
 

Infrastructure Rating
College infrastructure is very nice and beautiful. It's quite big. There are 4 small auditoriums and 1 big main auditorium. Canteen is also nice. The classrooms are equipped with tables and chairs. Sports complex is very beautiful and full of greenery. Sports equipment's are easily accessible to all. Metro is just at walking distance of 5 min. Bus facilities are also available in that area. Classes are also big and have capacity of minimum 60-70 students. Library is also very big and full of all kinds of books. You can easily access them if needed.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is going very nice. Everything is perfect about this college like infrastructure, faculty, crowd, society, sports complex, canteen, etc. Everything is perfect. I was a bit nervous in starting but slowly I got used to it and I like it here now. There are many societies and anyone who wants to join them has to go through their requirement process and once they join them, they help them to improve their skills and help them grow. Fests and events keep happening in 2-3 months.

    Honestly, I had my doubts while choosing this college but after being to various colleges of DU, I realized how my college was much better in almost everything i.e., infrastructure, crowd, faculty, location, etc. Hence, I am not ready to trade off this satisfaction. My college has the largest library and the sports complex. Its infrastructure is well maintained. College has good infrastructure and also a healthy environment in which you can develop your knowledge and skills.     Infrastructure of Shivaji College is average like new things are being added, upgrading its features. Grounds are large to play various sports such as basketball, badminton, volleyball and many more.
