SRKREC Bhimavaram Courses and Curriculum

Our College conducts College Fest for every Branch. We have an annual day every year and we celebrate festivals like Sankranthi, Vinayaka Chaviti, etc. There are around 50,000 books in our Library. Every Classroom has a projector support. We have 19 clubs working actively in our college. Attendance criteria are 75% minimum. Condonation charges are very high up to Rs. 10,000 if you have very poor attendance. Fests and annual days are celebrated very well. Tech fests like Nipuna, Spurthi, etc. are conducted every year. Generally in every semester we have a technical fest or cultural fest. We have an annual day once a year. Our college library has vast number of books of wide range of domains. Library is spacious and recently they have expanded the library and provided extra room to study. Books, Journals, newspapers and previous year exam papers etc. are available in our library. There are also many clubs for every department. ISTE, CSI, YES+, language nest are some of the clubs in our college that focuses not only on our academics but also overall development.

The course curriculum is decent. It includes most of the courses that have demand in the present industry. The curriculum helps the student ability to understand the concepts better and includes almost all the different domains that are available in job market. AI, ML, Cloud computing, Block chain technology, MEAN stack development, DSA, programming languages C, OOP C++, Java, Python. are also Computer networks, Operating systems, Distributed Systems, etc. these all are part of our curriculum. All these courses are necessary for a student to get a job. When it comes to the exams, we have a mid semester exam in every 2 months. There are 2 midterms. Then talking about internals, externals and lab exams, these are conducted and finally semester exams. The level of difficulty of these exams is medium.

The fee structure is Rs. 75,000 per year. Those students having fee reimbursement have 0 fees. There will be Rs. 10,000 building fee collected from every student and every student has to pay Rs. 3,000 per year as semester exam fee.

There is a 1:10 faculty to student ratio. There are not many professors in our college. Most of them are M.Tech graduates. Some faculty members don't have much knowledge over the subject. They simply read display the PPT using the projector and finishes their syllabus. Interaction with the faculty is good. Even during mid exams if we have any health issue or any other reason and couldn't attend the exam, we can request the HOD of the department and ask our faculty to conduct the exam for us later. It's not applicable for semester exams. It is mandatory to attend the semester exams without fail.

Generally the placements start after 6th semester. Many tech companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Sify technologies, Accenture, IBM, etc. visit our campus and offer many placement opportunities for students. During the recession time it was quite tough but now it became normal and the companies are recruiting well. Core companies such as boson motors, etc. also hire the non tech students. The average package for CSE is around 4-5 LPA. Highest package is 42 LPA. The college training and placement cell tries to provide a 100% placements. But generally it is around 90%. For me, I have other plans in life to study abroad and gain more skills in tech industry.

SRKR engineering college has good infrastructure and strong decent environment. The college provides high technology facilities and digital learning center. Infrastructure is average as compared to Universities but it is one of the best colleges in this locality as per infrastructure. Play ground is not large. We see a lake in the back of college which also comes under college property. Most of the students take selfies when they go to that place.

I love everything about my college but in particular I love my campus and it's a beautiful lush green campus with fresh air around. The second thing I loved about my campus is the faculty members. They are extremely talented, had a lot of knowledge and again they are too friendly in clarifying anything to you. It has a play ground but it is used by less number of people.
