Choosing Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is the best thing in my life. Being the top most institutes in Telangana it had its own perks. Not just in terms of academics but even in extracurricular activities. It gave me opportunity to express my ideas & innovations and guidance to step forward and dream big. Lecturers were always there to guide me. One of the important factors is placements. Top companies come to CBIT for recruitment with best of best packages. And the infrastructure in this institute is comparatively far better than other colleges.

I have chosen B.Tech in Biotechnology course. My main motive for choosing this course was my keen interest in research and technology where I can express my ideas and innovations. Eligibility for this course is 12th pass with Math background and should qualify entrance exam conducted by state board of Telangana - TS EAMCET and apply for the counseling process which will be of 3 rounds and based on the rank seat will be allotted. There are different categories A - category for convener quota and B - category for management quota. You can clear the exams by preparing from the state text books and practicing previous year model questions. Academics in this institute are very good. They provide you with industrial visits to get real time experiences.

The course fee (tuition fee) is Rs. 1,40,000 per year. Along with that miscellaneous fee of Rs. 5,500 also should be paid. There are no separate charges. And for every semester, exam fee should be paid which changes sometimes, usually it is Rs. 1,500. If you belong to SC or ST and get a seat in A category - full fee reimbursement is there (nil tuition fee) and if belonging to OBC around Rs. 30,000 fee reimbursement. Provided you should have income certificate.

Teaching in CBIT is excellent. Lecturers are highly qualified holding a Ph.D in specific subjects with years of experience. They usually use PPT and blackboard to explain the concepts. They are free to clear any sort of doubts. The ratio of teacher to student is 1:10. As of my experience with the faculty is very good. They even guided me in writing a book chapter and also in presenting my projects and getting better internship opportunities.

There is placement cell in Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology. It has all the facilities required for interviews. For every department placement coordinator is present who takes care of placements and giving updates regarding companies. They provide us mock interviews, aptitude tests and prepare students to sit for the placements. Renowned companies like Microsoft, TCS, Genpact, Accenture, etc. come for recruitments. Packages depend on companies and the department. Usually the average package is around 4 lakh per annum and highest is around 40 lakh per annum. Some companies even provide paid Internships. I personally opted for higher studies.

There is boy’s hostel attached to institute. Monthly fee is around Rs. 45,000 shared by 3 students per room. They have common washrooms, High speed Wi-Fi, etc. Clean and hygienic food - breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner are provided to the students. Strict rules like no smoking, no alcohol regular checking takes place. After 10:00 pm students are not allowed going out. For girls hostels at walkable distance are available. I was a day scholar.

CBIT campus is 50.8 acres and located in Gandipet, Kokapet, and Ranga Reddy district. There are different blocks for each department - A, C, D, E, K, L, M, N and PG block. Total of 84 classrooms are present each with 60 students. And 9 seminar halls for organising events. Also library, labs and open air auditorium are also present. Labs are regularly cleaned and have all the latest equipment. All sort of academic books are available in library which you can rent and study with High speed Wi-Fi. Cricket ground, football ground and basket ball court are also present. Apart from outdoor games, indoor games are also facilitated like chess, caroms, table tennis. Separate health care center is present. For day scholars bus facility is there with fixed timings. Stationary and Xerox are also there. My favorite place in institute is the R and D hub. The infrastructure features which complements my course teaching is seminar hall were different events and guest lectures are conducted which created a great impact.

Overall campus life is cool it just reminds me of a movie shoted in our institute - Happy Days. I got to interact with students from different backgrounds sharing their experiences. And the crowd is pretty good. There are technical and non technical clubs like cultural clubs, sports club, music, dance, art, social activities clubs, etc. I personally have been part of cultural and social activities clubs. Every year in the month of February two big events are conducted - Shruti and Sudhee for 5 days. Apart from these different programs are conducted during festivals like Sankranti, Bathukamma, Christmas, and Onam. I really enjoyed being part of all these events, creating so many unforgettable memories here.
