Umes Chandra College is the Top Choice for CA Aspirants in Kolkata

I am a CA aspirant and that is my reason for joining this college. I was aware this is the best college for aspirants as it provides ease in attendance, do not nag, help & support students and trust me they are the fact not myth. There is no ragging, abuse, disrespect, insult of students. Teachers are well experienced in their field and supportive that is a plus point beyond attendance. Principal sir is too kind and has given his personal number for directly reaching in case of issue. That's how good this college and people here are. The cost is minimal compared to other college, which give this college and edge over others. This college is NCC affiliated and provides self-defense training to women gynecologist for self awareness, which I find unique and attractive.

I have applied for a Bachelor in Commerce with Honors degree in this college. All the students completed their HSC with minimum 60% aggregate marks overall and compulsory minimum 50% marks in English are eligible for taking admission in this college under Umes Chandra College. Admission is purely merit based and there is no entrance examination. Exams are conducted 2 times per semester: internal exams of 20 marks and final exams of 80 marks. The syllabus of this course matches with my chartered accountancy course, which provides me an edge in the toughest commerce professional examination.

I have paid Rs. 5,380 for 1st year, Rs. 5,440 for 2nd year, and Rs. 5,000 as admission fee. The examination fee ranges between Rs. 350 to Rs. 550 for each semester. There are not other charges. Yes, college provides scholarship of Rs. 12,000 per year for three years.

All the faculty members are highly qualified with double Master’s degree to PhD. Teachers explains concept in 3 to 4 ways, provide handwritten notes, Xerox sheet of workbook, voice note in online groups, google meet session for doubts solving, and much more. They teach in blackboards or through PPTs. Yes, group discussion is a crucial part of their teaching methods. The amount of students and teachers both are high in volume. All the faculties are very kind and friendly.

Yes, college provides placement but its little low. College has tie up with many good companies but mostly is not in Kolkata. The salary package is decent for any graduates. Different seminars are being conducted for guidance and support for every graduate.

Main campus of Umes Chandra College is very good. Blocks of building are very big and spacious. It has their own canteen, conference hall, attractive library with hundreds of books collection, auditorium, playing ground, security services and much more. It has seating capacity of over 70 students in each room. Park and library have always been my favorite places as they are too quiet and peaceful. The early and long access of academic books to different self help books, business, and marketing genre books has provided me an edge in both personality and academic development.

I loved my college due to many reasons but most important was the community. People makes any place good or bad more than any infrastructure and all the people I met there are really awesome, gentle, pure and kind. I am indebted to them for providing me opportunity to explore such beautiful experience. The college is crowdy but manageable. Yes, college has many sports activities, annual events, extracurricular activities.
