Life at Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology

Overall Rating
I have joined Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology (deemed to be university) during corona situations, because it was nearer to my local town. At that time this was the main reason to join this university. While studying in this university, I have acquired many skills according to my department.
 

Academics Rating
While I was joining this CSE department, the IT field was on its peak that time. That is why I choose this course. It does not require any specific exam to enter in this university. You should acquire 60 percent marks in board exams. Admission process was very simple. We have CA1 and CA2 exams once in 4 months and after that the semester exams are held. The semester exams are very easy.
The fees structure at Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology for engineering was nearly Rs. 4,50,000 for only tuition. For hostel, it is a total of Rs. 72,000 per annum and that is totally Rs 3, 00,000. We could deposit an amount of Rs. 10,000 in addition to first semester as caution deposit. Semester fees were nearly Rs. 50,000.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties were well educated. All of them have attained their Ph.D in their specific area of interest. The teaching method was mainly using pdf in the smart class with the help of the computer system. The teacher student ratio of Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology was good. Our faculties were maintaining a friendly relation with the students. We have also had the GD on weekly basis for the improvement and development of our skills.
 

Placement Rating
The placement in our university was not up to the expected level. It should be improved for the upcoming batches.
 

Hostel Rating
We have separate hostels for boys and girls. We have larger hostel rooms and mess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have the total of 300 areas of greener land. We have 5 large main buildings with each containing of minimum 100 classrooms. We have the best and large library across the country called "Arjun Singh Library" which contains 1, 00,000 books with all the journals and magazines filled the total racks. Our playground was nearly 10 acres and we have all the essential sports equipment with well trained coaching staffs.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life was better with greener environment that give us peace and cooler mindset. Our total strength of the university was nearly 10000 with faculty member nearly 200. We have nearly 20 clubs that supports literature and social environment. We also donated the sum of money to the nearby villages for the social cause improvement and that let us and other universities to help the people with their needs.

    This university is a place where one can get perfect academics in a peaceful and disciplined environment. They provide bus and hostel services. The canteen has some good dishes. The hostel is average though. But the faculties are good in all aspects, providing a better future for the aspiring graduates.   • An university with good infrastructure and environment

    I joined this institute for my bachelor studies in 2019. Due to covid period, I couldn't analyze anything when I was in my online classes. That's why I joined my master's in the same college once again. My overall experience from this university is good the campus area is neat and clean and the infrastructure is amazing.
