GB Pant University Review

Overall Rating
I like Technical field so I decided to take admission in this University. Currently I am a B.Tech student of Computer engineering in this University. There are 8 colleges and a very big Campus area that also includes 22 hostels. There are markets and stadium, gymnasium, etc. This University provides the best facilities to their students. In this University many facilities that are provided to the students are Security and free medi claim.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Computer Engineering. The eligibility criteria of the University is to secure good rank in JEE main exam. There is also lateral entry admission which is conducted by veer maadho singh bhandari Uttaranchal technical University. Admission process is done by counseling. Documents are mandatory while Taking admission. The admission Eligibility criterion is that the students are resident of Uttrakhand. There are 3 exams in a semester that are pre-final 1 and pre-final 2 and semester final exams.
Total fees of the B.Tech is 1,10,000 per year. This includes hostel fee, food fee, annual fee, tuition fee, medi claim, internet fee, electricity fee, maintenance fee, and other charges. There are discount for Jammu Kashmir’s students and TFW category students. There are many scholarships provided by the University and NSP to the students per year. NSP provide the scholarship of Rs. 60,000 per year for SC category students.
 

Faculty Rating
The Faculty ratio of this University is not much as required. The teaching methods of the faculty members have very low standards. Few teachers just teach as formality. They just take attendance. Almost all teachers having Ph.D degree. The method of teaching opted by them is through PPT’s and Blackboard. Few teachers are very friendly but few teachers and professor are very strict. I like some professors because they are very friendly.
 

Placement Rating
Placements in this University are negligible. Students find their job on their own by off campus and other companies interviews. The placement of CS and IT is average.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 22 hostels in this University. Every hostel contains 200-300 students in 1st and 2nd year. 2-2 students share the room and in 3rd and final year the boys can have their own Single room. Mess food is average, not as good as expected. Room fee is Rs. 600 per year and electricity is for Rs. 3000 per year. Additionally the hostel mess charges are Rs. 40,000 per annum. Hostel timings are from morning 5 to 9 pm.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is a very huge library which contains every book of the University curriculum and Other extra knowledge purpose. The campus size is almost 12,000 acre which makes it the second largest University in the world by area. There are CCF, stadium, gym, library, canteen, banks and markets. There are two markets and nearest railway station and airport. My favorite place is University is library as it is very useful for study.
 

Campus Rating
Markets are near by the hostels. College crowd is good. There are some annual fests organized by the University society of the students. There are many clubs and societies. The main society of the engineering college is ETS and ETS organized the events for fresher’s students and also organized games and coding events. My experience is very good at this University and I recommended this University to others for sure.

  • COT is no doubt among the best institutions

    As I am still a student of College of Technology, Pantnagar. I know the worth of being in this amazing institution. The events that held here are of top-notch quality. Once you have attended any of these events, you will less likely to forget it in your entire lifetime. We began attending colleges once again after the COVID-19 break.     Overall, I haven’t got a chance to enjoy it a lot currently. During our first year, we got the first two semesters in campus, and then happened a break, to which we never got a chance to return due to covid-19. Besides, my first year went extremely well. Hostel experience, away from home was good. College studies went well, and are also currently going well.     My experience at GBPUA&T altogether was more of learning than that of fun. As I have opted for a B.Tech course, I am fully satisfied with the choice I made four years back. I have had many first experiences both at hostel and at college. The competitive environment has boosted up my skills and knowledge regarding my subject.
