If one seriously needs to study then it’s hard to find a place better than LNCT at least in Bhopal. LNCT Bhopal needs no introduction in this part of India as students from various states including southern states come and study here. The college is located on the outskirts of the city but the college provides buses for all areas of Bhopal, so one of the main issues that are connectivity gets solved through that. With many engineering colleges on the same campus, the placements become a bit tough, but the college has taken on and every year mass placements occur here. There are many clubs run by students here like the Quest, Jagran, People’s Party, and others. So, from dance to politics, you can keep yourself updated all through these clubs. There’s also a laughing club and whenever you are under stress, just join them for a day or two and trust all your sorrows will be gone.

It is proven that LNCT boasts the best studies in Bhopal as it is the only college that clings to mandatory attendance. In every other college, you can get away with it but not at LNCT. Among the other colleges of the group LNCTE and LNCTS, LNCT is one of the strictest colleges as when combined lectures were taken, LNCT students proved themselves to be far ahead of the rest of the group colleges. Academics is the college’s strong point as fests and all are not mandatory but attending practical labs was. Lab sessions too were repeated here as those who miss out do get another shot. So, the college has done all the things in its capacity to ensure that students get a conducive environment and scholarly faculties to study.

It’s given that the faculty here has to be the best because without them, attaining the position that they have in the last few years would have never been possible. Their teaching was anything but orthodox as they didn’t mean easy ways. The studies were tough and the faculties made it even tougher because they were clear on the fact that engineering means survival of the toughest. Normally you wonder that faculty would come, teach, and leave but here it was different. They will ask at least twice that if students have any doubts they can raise their hands. If there are fewer students, they were called upon personally and if nearly half the class have their hands raised, the same would be discussed again. Hence proven that the faculties here were the best.

Over 2500+ students for CSE including all the colleges and out of 1000 definitely got placed. All were placed in enriched firms like Oracle, Cognizant, IBM, and others. So, the arrival of companies for placements was the best. All our academic credentials were checked and since the strength was so high, only the ones with over 6+ CGPA gross could be placed. I would say the number of students placed was still alright because with the IT sector facing attrition issues and the increasing strength of CSE students, the college has still been able to place so many students through its campus.

There’s a huge disparity between the old and the new hostel. When the main university was getting built why not the hostels at our campus. The old hostel washrooms were so pathetic and obviously because they were shared. The new hostel built at the campus has solved all such issues but the fees have been doubled. Also, the first-year students had to compulsorily stay at the old hostel even if they could afford the new hostel. So, these rules were beyond me but LNCT does provide a hostel facility for both boys and girls.

The area of the college is big as I have been to one of the most reputed colleges of the country for my PG and LNCT was 5 times that college in terms of area. Yes, debate can be done because LNCT was not the only campus at the college but the facilities were adept at taking care of any number of students at the campus. From a stationery shop to multiple cafes, the college campus had them all. The sporting facilities again were just too good because even though the ground was multi-purpose, playing on them was a sheer comfort.

The college doesn’t promote the fests that much but be it because of Shristi or Planet Engineers, the campus was something else on those days. The campus was lighted as all the major fests of the college were held in the evening and concluded with a nice dinner. On-campus, students looked more inclined toward higher studies because becoming a pro in the niche was important to have a sustainable job and growth in career. So, I followed what major students did at the campus and that was to go for higher studies but for all those planning and thoughts, I would thank the LNCT campus.
