AUMP Gwalior: Key Pros and Cons

I am 2nd year law student. My experience is very good so far. Here you will not only get great infrastructure but a great experience in academics. Before joining this University I heard some things which were not good but after joining my doubt about those things are clear and those rumors were not true. I am happy that I chose this University. Every University has its pros. and cons. Yes, there are some strict rules which need to be followed like attendance criteria is very strict. If you don't have 75% attendance then you will not be able to give exams. The timing of University is 9 to 5 which seems like job timing. Without a doubt it is bit longer but after sometime it is manageable. The most important are faculties which are really great here. They are really helpful.

Academics at Amity University Madhya Pradesh is what we talk about as I am a law student so, I will talk about that only. Eligibility criteria are 12th pass from any subject with 60%. If you have more than 75% in your 12th board then at the time of admission you will get 25% scholarship and it increases with increase in percentage. Students here even have full scholarship at the time of admission. But you need to get good CGPA if you want to continue your scholarship further.

Fee structure differs from department to department but at the time of admission with whatever is your department’s fee is that you need to submit security fees which will be returned when you will pass out from University.

Faculties here are well experienced and their teaching technique is amazing. On the very first class they will provide you with syllabus and with the plan that what they are going to teach. They use PPT’s and white board to explain things according to students, whatever they prefer. The facilities are really helpful. They are on their toes to help students academically or otherwise also. They always give personal attention to students and make sure that students have understood the concept.

Many companies come here for placements and students have got placements.

Hostels are there inside the campus so the most important thing about security is sorted. Girls and boys hostel are separate. The hostels are quite hygienic.

The campus is spread in about a 100 acres of area. There are five academic blocks which are A-E at present time. There is a separate block for law students. B is for Biotech and BJMC. C is for behavior subject like psychology and for pharmacy. D is for BBA where as E is for B.Tech students. There is a canteen in every block. If anybody doesn’t want to eat in canteen then we have other places to sit and eat like Nescafe or Amul parlor. Inside the campus there is a stationary shop also and all the hostels are inside the campus only.

Campus life at Amity University is really good. They have different programs every month according to the department if I talk about my department that is law then we have programs like moot court competition (both intra and national), National youth Parliament, MUN and many others. Then we have pro-bono club which provides free legal aid and gives you experience on the ground basis. Different departments have different programs but when we talk about the annual program we have Ami Croma in which we can play different games and it's a two day fest.
