Life in Techno India University: Authentic & Enthusiast

Overall Rating
Overall, it's an average if you are following the syllabus but great if you can use all the resources. This was a better option offering same package as other technical universities with less pressure. It has great fests and events that are famous in whole Kolkata and have great options for hostels and regular both. It's mostly famous for the cultural events. One problematic thing for middle class students can be its affordability.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I have chosen (Cyber Security) guarantees the huge scope in future. Requirements to get this course in Techno India University are JEE rank or 80% marks in 12th grade. In each semester, there are 3 internal exams, 5 lab exams and 1 semester exam. Academics prepare us well for the future. However, you do need to indulge yourself in the self-studies in order to be excellent. Syllabus is pretty relatable for most of the students
Rs. 65,000 per semester or 1.3 LPA needs to be paid as a tuition fee by the students of Cyber Security along with Rs. 2,000 as an exam fee, Rs. 5,000 as a kit fee (one time), and Rs. 10,000 as an admission fee (one time). I believe that there is no scholarship facility here.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are good, sometimes a little strict but still good. Most of them are well educated with Master’s or PhD degree. Teaching methods include the use of laptops, whiteboard, projector, mass discussion, and one on one interaction. For every 100 students, there are around 10 teachers. They are pretty approachable and most of them are really helpful & understanding. Not the best but still good if you pay attention.
 

Placement Rating
The university offers placement services to the students who have good academic record. Placements are also up to the par like any other private technical university or institute.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities for outstation students are also great in Techno India University.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academic blocks of Techno India University are well designed and good for students. They are well equipped with tools such as e-library, web classrooms, etc. Campus size is really big (almost 1/3 of the size of an airport), classroom are good, air conditioned, and Wi-Fi enabled. There are 5 libraries, 3 labs each floor, 6 labs on 4th floor, and 3 canteens. Being located at the prime bus, auto, metro, cabs, etc. are easily available.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great. It helps in boosting your self-esteem and confidence. There are many students still not crowded. Many clubs such as sports, Union, Academic, Religious, etc. are there for the students. It organizes fests & events such as Techathon, Vivarta, Technothon, Olimpica, TIGA Sports, Nrityaksha, Durgotsav, Fresher's, farewell, Teacher's Day. Overall life here is joyful and cheering if you join clubs and events

    Overall experience is good and few teachers are average. The college fee was expensive for me but h\the education offered is okay. The campus is well furnished.     My experience at Techno India University as a student has been average overall. Some aspects of the university were worth commending, such as fests, extracurricular activities, student-faculty interaction, and campus life. However, the infrastructure is not advanced, especially for disciplines requiring wet lab training. Although, the university is making tremendous efforts in introducing Artificial Intelligence.     The college is at Salt Lake, Kolkata which is very well connected with the rest of the city via road and metro transport. The college has friendly faculty members and quite an easy admission procedure. The college also has good placement opportunities for the students.
