Honest Review for BCA in SRM University, Sonipat

Overall Rating
The infrastructure and tech facilities are very different and good compared to other colleges and universities. Its campus size is so big compared to other colleges and universities. Its fees are also decent. If you are living around Sonipat and Haryana, you should opt for this university.
 

Academics Rating
I always had interest in computers and wanted to do something in tech field, that why I chose this course. All the courses have different faculty: student ratio, for this course, it is 1:40. All the faculties are highly qualified and knowledgeable and their teaching method according to me is 8/10. Exams were semester wise and if you study all year-around you can easily score good marks. The academics here prepare us really well for real life challenges.
As SRM University, Sonipat is a technical University, almost all the courses are computer based. All the courses have different cost to study. The course which I am pursuing which is BCA has a fee of Rs. 88500 per year and overall around Rs. 250000- Rs. 300000. You can get a scholarship if you have scored above 85% in 12th standard.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties are well educated and talk politely with students. They clear student's doubts very nicely and provide enough study content to students so that they can prepare well for the exams. They provide their personal numbers so students can ask doubts whenever they want. Teacher student ratio is 1:40. All the faculties have really good problem solving abilities. They are really educated and have a very good background of qualifications.
 

Placement Rating
From 5th semester, the students get eligible for campus placements. Around 20-25 companies visited for placement and around 80-90% students are placed. The highest package was around 20-25 LPA and average package was around 4-5 LPA. I will be working as a software engineer or developer under a big MNC after getting the degree.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, SRM University, Sonipat offers residential facilities. They have very nice hostel buildings where students can stay. Mess food has a lot of options and is very hygienic. Fees are 2 Lakh per year. And if you are sharing then the fees is less.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus size of SRM University is large. Different courses and domains have different blocks and buildings. So it's easy for students to not travel far to find their class. Labs are very big and spacious for students to easily settle in and study. My favorite space of this university is their spacious grounds filled with greenery. They offer bus services also to really far living students. They have very big & spacious café named as Bunny’s Kitchen. The library is well equipped with all the books and resources.
 

Campus Rating
The annual fests, the tech fests and any other fests are organised for all the students within two months of admission of the freshers. There are tournaments for both students and teachers for sports and extracurricular activities. All the sports equipment is within the college’s sports complex which you can issue. There are various clubs that are run by students like music club, art club, etc.

    One of my sister's friend who was an alumni of SRM AP recommended me SRM and suggest me to give its entrance test SRMJEEE. I secured pretty decent marks and avail 25% scholarship. If you maintain your CGPA above 9 in all semesters then you can get 100% scholarship. This was one thing that I really liked about the college instead of being a private university.     University facilities are very amazing. There are air conditioned classrooms. Campus life is very good as it is a well planned campus. The labs at the university are very good and even there are MAC systems present. Workshops are held regularly for all the departments.     Overall, the campus life the infrastructure and everything makes it a good choice. You can go for this college if you want to study engineering. The course is quite decent, the teachers are very knowledgeable, they will help you always one of the main things that concern anyone is that transport connectivity of our college is not well, it's not well connected with the transports; you have to go out of the Rajiv Gandhi education area to get some public transports. other than that everything is go...
