Chandigarh University CUCET Exam and Admission Process

Talking about my experience at CU, it is really inspiring and motivating. The campus consists of ample number of talented and sharp students that makes it a competitive space to study. When I went through the brochure and the website of the University, I found it really appealing and in real it was beyond my expectations. The increasing number of achievements by the University and the top-notch efforts made by it are the epitome of a successful and an ideal University environment. While I was looking for Institutes to get admission, I went through a lot of Universitys and was assisted by the staff of the respective Universities. But Chandigarh University without any doubt offered me the best possible services.

I have chosen BBA-LLB, which is a five-year integrated plan. Since the start, I was inclined towards business studies. I was fascinated by its interlinking with the legal subjects. This is the reason of me opting this course. The University requires the basic documents like identity proof, 10th and 12th Class Mark sheets and passing certificates. In addition to this, you have to get through the entrance exam of the University, which is called CUCET, in which you can also reward yourself with a scholarship if you score good marks. The admission process is very simple. The admission team will assist you throughout the process and there is no need to worry about any step in it. The team is dedicated to help you throughout the process. I have two Mid-term Exams and one Semester- end exams in each semester. The University is one of the best when it comes to its academics. The choice of subjects is really appropriate and interesting as it is inter-linked with the practical legal world. The subjects are a blend of theoretical and practical which makes it a complete package.

The University offers this course in the exchange of Rs.60,000 per semester. In addition to this you need to pay 2,500 per semester as the Examination Fees and Rs.2,500 at the time of the admission as the security charges. You can avail for the scholarships as per the marks scored at your CUCET exam as well as your 12th class marks.

The faculty members in my course have excellent education background along with great practical experience. Many of them are Ph.D holders and possess extra-ordinary skills and knowledge in the legal field. The faculty members opt for such methods of teaching that involves one-on-one discussion with the students, and they also make every possible effort to make us understand every topic in the easiest way possible. We are offered elaborative notes and PPT’s on the topics that are being taught to us. The teacher-student ratio is appropriate, and every student is given equal amount of attention. I personally find every faculty member to be cooperative and approachable enough to solve my queries.

The placement cell at my Institute is really active when it comes to providing internships to the students and practical industrial experience. Any interested student can approach the cell in order to secure a practical experience outside the University setting. We are offered adequate breaks every year in order to devote proper time to our internships. Talking about the placements, the University has tie-ups with top- notch corporate and law firms that offer PPO’s to the students and also conduct placements drives. The package starts from 6 LPA.

Yes, the University offers hostel services for both boys and girls. There is adequate number of rooms and hostels buildings situated all around the University campus. The girls and boys are reside separately with proper security and rules. There are wardens and security guards that make it compulsory for the hostellers to abide by the strict rules and regulation in order to maintain a safe and peaceful living environment. The mess food is hygienic and home-like. The hostellers are offered different varieties of food across the week. The fees range from 80K to 1.5 L, depending upon the room you avail.

The University offers one of the best infrastructures in India. The campus is located in Gharuan, Punjab, where the students are made accessible to every possible facility. The University has advanced classrooms and beautiful campus structure. The campus is really magnanimous. There is ample number of academic facilities like advanced libraries, moot court halls, ADR Cells, etc. There are over hundreds of shops that provide the tastiest food ever. The sports department is really active, and the students are always motivated for taking part in extra-curricular activities.

My overall experience is really good. The University offers a happening University-life with a lot of events every back and then. The University crowd is really talented and inspiring. There are number of clubs where students can enhance their skills and devote their time to make themselves productive enough to be extraordinary. I have secured a very beautiful experience and really suggest people to choose this University without any doubt in mind.
