BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib: Aspirations of College Life

Overall Rating
The overall experience in BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib is very good. The college is very near to my home (only 12 KM away from my house) and my brother also studied from this college. The environment of college is very good. 70% of college is filled by trees. The college is very peaceful and clean.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Electrical Engineering for my future. I am admitted in college without any JEE exam based on my 10+2 merit. The exams mainly include monthly sessional test, which are two to three in per semester along with end semester exams in every four to five months.
The total fee of our college is Rs. 90,000 per year or 45,000 per semester. The fee includes the tuition fee, admission fee, and registration fee. The best advantage is for SC/ST students because they get scholarship or full fee concession from state government. The General and OBC students have to pay full fee without any discount. As for me, I got discount in first semester according to marks.
 

Faculty Rating
The experience of faculty is good because some teachers are working ever since the college is constructed. They have so experience in their subjects but somehow there are few who can bring some changes in the teaching style. The teaching method is good because they use green boards, projectors and specially designed computer lab. There are some teachers, who are very approachable to the students. They will definitely help us in the future too.
 

Placement Rating
The training & placement cell is there in BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib. The placement in our college is average. The drives are only four Computer Science & Engineering department students. The average package of the student if we are recruited is about 3 LPA. The college can bring more companies as per the course so that each student can get equal opportunity.
 

Hostel Rating
I personally do not accommodate hostel but as I as far as I know about the hostels, they are not up to the mark. The rooms can be bit more clean. The hygiene of food maintained is somehow medium and the quality is average. The fee structure depends upon the type of the room chose as of course, the fee for AC room is bit higher than non-AC ones.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are three or four blocks in our college such as South Block, North Block, Bai Gurudas Block, etc. The classrooms especially for Electrical Engineering department are somehow clean, prestigious, and well maintained, the projectors are there. The whole department is air-conditioned. There are various labs to get physical knowledge. Other facilities like seminar hall, conference hall, medical facility, etc. are well maintained here. Transport facilities are also there. My favorite place in the college is side of the college due to very peaceful environment. Study environment is good.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is somehow good because I currently in final year. I totally enjoyed my college life. The college’s crowd is average. There are various annual events in BBSBEC Fatehgarh Sahib, which are organized by our mates of other departments. In our department, there is a club called Electro Infinity Club and it is responsible of organizing various events. The students participate in college’s cultural, traditional, and sports activities as well.
