Seth Anandram Jaipuria College : Among the Best Commerce Colleges in Kolkata

Overall Rating
This college is considered as one of the best colleges for commerce in Kolkata. The cutoff is well above average. At least 90 percent in your boards can give you a chance in this college. They are strict with their attendance which helps the students to stay connected to their academic life and the college also offers various co-curricular activities and is well known in the field of basketball and football.
 

Academics Rating
Currently, I am studying in 4 year of B.Com (Hons.) in this college. This college holds one of the best academic records in the CU examinations if not the best. The syllabus structure is designed keeping in mind about the real life applications of the knowledge that will be shared to the students and the examination pattern is quiet student friendly, 1 exam every 6 months which is termed as a semester.
The fee structure is very minimal. I am paying only about Rs. 22,500 for the whole 4 years course while the semester fee for other private colleges is more than 30k. There is no scholarship or financial aid as because it is a government college.
 

Faculty Rating
Seth Anandram Jaipuria College has one of the finest commerce faculties. The professor's here are highly qualified and very student friendly. Regular classes are held in the college and they have a strict attendance policy, more than 60 percent is mandatory to sit for the exams. The teacher student ratio is perfect and student bonding with the teachers is very good. Overall it is a perfect college if you are from a commerce background.
 

Placement Rating
As because I am in 1st semester I cannot tell about my personal experience with the placement here, but I have heard it's good and companies like Amazon, Deloitte, etc. come here on yearly basis for the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a resident of Kolkata. I have my own house here so I don't know anything about the hostel life here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has a great infrastructure. It is located just beside the Sobha Bazaar Metro Station gates no.2. I won't say it's huge but of course above average in terms of other colleges. The classrooms are spacious and the library is the main attraction of the college campus. It has a huge number of books and seating capacity of more than 200 people and is fully air conditioned. They have well equipped labs, gym and seminal hall. I like the library here and like to read books there.
 

Campus Rating
I am enjoying my campus life to the fullest. I enjoy going to the college everyday as the classes are very interactive in nature and the professors are very frank. Yes there are a lot of clubs like dance club, literary club, sports department, etc. Currently not a part of any club but I am thinking of joining the sports club soon after my semester exams. Events are organised on weekly basis where we enjoy a lot and get to learn many things form the professionals coming as chief guest. Overall it is a great experience and I would recommend commerce students to join this college.

    Overall Rating
    The college is very good if you are searching for a mid range college with a good reputation. The college’s staff members and building are very nice. It also does not give pressure to any of its students but the thing is there is a strict regulation of attendance. You have to maintain a minimum of 60% attendance to get qualified for the college or university exams.     Seth Anandram Jaipuria College is located at 10, Raja Naba Krishna Street in the Shobhabazar area in North Kolkata. The morning shift is all girls with science, commerce, and arts; the day is co-ed also teaching science, commerce, and arts courses and the evening are all boys with only B.com being taught in this shift.
