AMU Aligarh: Hostels, Scholarships, and More

Overall, it is one of most beautiful university with low fee structure. It is in very good location as everyone can easily find it. There is an airport, which helps everyone to reach here from everywhere. All students can live here easily as it has hostel facility and all are located near campus. It also provides scholarship facility to the students. All the departments are good and Mathematics department is 1st ranked department.

I have completed my graduation in 2024. My course was B.Sc Mathematics (Hons.). There are some eligibility criteria for pursuing this course. First, the candidates should not be more than 24 years and get minimum 60% marks in 12th standard with Science stream. After that, there is a university entrance exam form. After some time, university conducts a departmental entrance exam. There are 120 maximum seats for every B.Sc (Hons.) course. Candidate must beat the cut-off marks to get admission. This course is good for those who have interest in Mathematics.

The whole faculty of Mathematics department is awesome and has a unique way of teaching. They all teach every student with full enthusiasm. All the teachers have a good experience and knowledge. They are PhD holder from IIT and NITs. Assistant professors also have a great experience. Dr. Akhlad sir is an expert of Coordinate Geometry, and Dr. Wajih Ashraf sir is a Ring Theory expert teacher.

Yes, from AMU we can get good placements according to our ability and academics.

Yes, we have residential facilities in AMU. There are around 20-23 halls and around 80-85 hostels. Halls available separately for girls and boys so it is good for all students who came here from different states of India. They can live smoothly and without any residential problem. Food facilities available in all the hostels.

AMU is a historical college and it has some historical buildings. Campus is having about 2000 acres of land. It was established in 1877 as Mohammad Anglo Oriental College after that it became Aligarh Muslim University in 1920. In this university, all facilities and departments are separate. Every department has its own reading room for better and peaceful study environment. In addition, there is a common library which named as Maulana Azad Library which is Asia’s one of the biggest libraries. There held gaming and study competitions time to time. Every department has AC rooms. There is an auditorium for all students of University who can show their hidden talent and other one's can enjoy their program.

All the campus has a cool and healthy environment. Whole university is ragging free and everyone helps each other. All the seniors are supportive. It has an art gallery where we can see some exited paintings and sketches which made by students.
