Chandigarh a good option for your degree if you are residing in northern region !!

Overall Rating
I chose Chandigarh University because of the reputation it holds. The campus is really huge, and infrastructure is top notch. Each and every facility is available in the campus. As a law student, the law building is well equipped with big library and a good moot court which gives a vibe of a real court. Curriculum is designed in a really good way. Overall University is good. University provides almost all resources that help you achieve your goal.
 

Academics Rating
Anyone with minimum 45% marks in class 12th is eligible for this course from any stream. Merit based scholarship is also provided to students based on their 12th performance. Scholarship test is also conducted named as CUCET on the basis of the marks obtained students will get scholarships. The BA LLB course is of 5 years with 10 semesters in it and after each semester you have to do an internship. As per bar council of India it is mandatory to do 6 weeks internship. 75% attendance is compulsory for the students to give their final semester exams.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is not that good, but it is manageable. New faculty is more and less experienced but each of them tried to solve the problems of the student in a best possible way. The teaching method is good but it depends on person to person. Some teachers are really experienced with Ph.D holders as well in their relevant field. Head of Departments are really cooperative and listens to students' problem.
 

Placement Rating
The University has a dedicated placement cell of the students which continuously keeps the check on students' performance and gave opportunities to students so that more and more students can get hired from the University. Placement cell gives each and every student internship opportunity in the city in which they want to do it.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, Chandigarh University has hostel facilities. The hostel life is really fun especially if you opt for 5-seater room shared by 5 roommates. We have so much fun around the hostel premise. The infrastructure is top notch with AC rooms, cleaned toilet and mess food is also good. Almost every hostel has its grocery shop, canteen and study room. 4-5 GYMS are available in hostel premises. The sports facility is also good if you enjoy sports in case.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Chandigarh University is known for its huge campus beautifully made but you have to walk so much because of a big campus. There are separate blocks for humanities, science, law and management. All the facilities are available inside the campus. Many food joints are there inside the campus from lapinoz, dominos, etc. The classrooms are equipped with projector and smart board. The classes are air conditioned as well. Each block has its own library, and a central library is also there for students to sit and study.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good, so main fests are conducted in a year. Many celebrities come to University to promote their films. The crowd in campus is from various states but many of them belong to Haryana. A good diversity can be seen from various states and the countries. Lots of clubs are their like theatre club, singing club and many more. Fests are conducted twice in a year. Awareness drive is also there, and University is really strict in terms of ragging.

    Here, campus life is too good for students. They organize many events for the students’ development. There is a balance between studies and co-curricular activities. Clarity of concepts is given by the faculties by which they stand out from others. Also, the teachers have a good teaching experience.     I found this university good. I won't say it is the best university to study in but yeah it is worth studying if you aren't able to get admission in any NLU or any other better law college. Our department, I will say is the best department of the university. We have learned a lot of things from the university so far.
