IIT Kharagpur's Strong Alumni Network Boosts Career Opportunities

The campus of IIT Kharagpur is one of the most beautiful campuses as well as oldest IITs of India. The student life here is quite amazing. It has strong alumni network and it provides a wide variety of exposure to lot of things. It has many student-managed organizations starting from cells to societies. I have been part of the organizing team of Kshitij: Tech Fest of IIT Kharagpur where I gathered vast experience, as I have to learn a lot. I chose this institute as it’s nearer to my house and one of the prestigious institute in India.

For entering in IIT Kharagpur or in other IITs, you have to qualify the JEE Advanced examination and have to score good marks. You have to clear the overall cutoff as well as the subject wise cut off.

Faculties are experts in their field. They are helpful and cooperative. In the first year of students, each student is allocated with two faculty advisors and he/she can reach out in case of issues or support during the duration of course. Their teaching style varies from faculty to faculty. They have done their PhD as well as Postdoctoral from prestigious foreign institutes.

We have a placement body in our institute helping the students in the process of smooth placement sessions.

The infrastructure is quite good but it can be improved more. We have digital classrooms and a digital central library. Students can access any books easily from this library. The classroom contains all the necessary equipment for digitalized study. Other than that, there are laboratories, central Research facility having many future generation equipment like SEM, TEM, and other things. We have GYMs, music rooms, etc.

Campus life at IIT Kharagpur is quite amazing. Along with academics, we get a lot of exposure to extra academic activities. As it has large campus, it has around 15000 students. Hence, the crowd is quite huge. Every year, general championship is conducted between the hostels to keep the sports spirit up. Other than that, we have an experience of tech fest ‘Kshitij’ and cultural fest.
