Sona College of Arts and Science has excellent academic records. Every year the students are getting top 10 ranks from Periyar University as the college is affiliated with this university. The basic eligibility to join the course is to possess at least 60% marks in 10th and 12th grade in the respective field. The admission process will start with the process of buying admission form, which costs, to an amount of Rs. 500 per application. Then there will be an interview process where the management will evaluate whether the student is capable or not.

The faculties who are employed here are very friendly and knowledgeable teachers. The faculties are very fond of teaching as they like their profession. The staffs who are employed here are mostly completed their PhD so that their knowledge level is very good. Other staffs are currently pursuing their Doctorate.
