Thiagarajar College Madurai Prepares Students for Top MNC Placements

This is one of the best Colleges in Madurai which is equivalent to the engineering college in placement opportunities. My life here is great when I compare it with my friends from other colleges. Here we can participate in many events and cultures engaging yourself in these activities make your studies more and more interesting. The best decision that I ever made was to choose this college and join it. My dream is to get placed in top MNC’s and I achieved it by getting 2 offers. The campus infrastructure is not that good but now recently construction work is going on and soon we can see a great campus. My campus is surrounded with trees and flowers I used to take photos of these earlier.

There is no special entrance exam to join this college. You can directly apply for this college on their website after completing your 12th standard board exam results are out. Students will be selected based on the cutoff scored and cast reservation. You will get a mail from college regarding whether selected or not. If yes then they will ask you to come for document verification and other procedures. Since my school my dream was to work in the industry so I researched about BSc. I found this college provides top course and my college’s NIRF rank is 15.

All my faculty members have studied master’s degrees and are qualified for teaching us. They support us with studies as well as motivate us to work on different projects in real time to gain experience. This is because of the fact that I easily explained about it to my HR during interview and got selected easily. You can get any help from your department faculties. They use to give home work and assignments. They conduct test so often to make us learn. My staffs are so friendly with me and I love them so much.

Yes, our college has placement cell. I got placed in two top MNC’s LTIMindtree and Accenture. I also attended ZOHO incubation training but unfortunately I was not selected. It really helped students. Before placements they used to conduct training for aptitude and programming that helped me a lot to crack those interviews.

I am a day scholar so I don't know about my hostel but my friends are staying there and I have heard that the food tastes good and the rooms are clean and hygienic.

We have different blocks for every department. Labs are available for access anytime in the college. We can use sports equipment anytime after completing the college timing. There is a main library for taking books and reading news and other things like preparing for your competitive exams, etc. We can also access books from our own department libraries. You can visit canteen and eat many tasty foods but the only thing is that non-veg is strictly prohibited inside the college campus. We can rome around the college and can take good pictures of us, campus and flowers, floras, and faunas inside the campus.

Every year we have a sports day and a major cultural event called Sangamamam. Students can participate in these and can show their hidden talents like film making, ad making, carving, etc. Each department will receive overall prizes if they won makes it more interesting during events. There are many clubs in our college like social media club, readers club, etc. which is common for all departments. There is a special musical band for our college and we can see their performance often during the break time. Each department has their own club and can conduct event among the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students.
