Life at IIIT Agartala: Academics and infrastructure

Overall Rating
IIIT Agartala is among the institutes established in 2018 under PPP model. It offers a learning environment that balances academic excellence with personal growth. The institute encourages exploration in academics and extracurricular and fosters creativity and independence. Challenges are there, but they provide opportunity for growth.
 

Academics Rating
I opted for IIIT Agartala because of its strong focus on technology and innovation. Although it is not so popular, it's really great for Computer Science and Engineering. The atmosphere of studying here is beneficial. The teachers do not burden us. The institute is giving me a few fantastic chances to upgrade my technical skills, which I am keenly awaiting to make good use of the facilities there.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at IIIT Agartala is excellent with Ph.D qualified professors in their areas of expertise. A few professors from NIT Agartala also teach here to add extra expertise. Teachers are very supportive, willing to help students in academic as well personal matters. Many have been in the institute for 10-15 years, and this adds to the value and the kind of knowledge and guidance provided. They also organize counseling sessions to improve communication and personality skills.
 

Placement Rating
IIIT Agartala was established in the year 2018. The placements are still in the building-up phase, and they have not yet peaked, however, almost every student has been placed with competitive packages. The placement cell is increasing year after year, and though placements are developing, the trend is pretty good. The encouraging faculties and support during the entire placement procedure help the students realize their goals in terms of their careers.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are equipped with water coolers, geysers for hot water, and a laundry system, where students can wash their clothes for a small fee. In the 1st and 2nd year, the students share rooms, while 3rd and 4th year student live alone. There are two separate areas for boys’ hostel. 2nd and 4th year student live in one compartment while 1st and 3rd year student live in another compartment. Night time hostel restriction is applicable for girls, but boys have much freedom in terms of hostel timings. The overall experience in the hostel is very comfortable and supportive of student needs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Each branch has separate academic blocks. There is a good library near the CSE building. The campus ensures all the essential amenities- cafes, messes, and hostels are not hard to find. The institute is well-balanced, offering resources on either side for growth in both academics and comfort for the students.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is spread over 350 acres with one of India's biggest sports complexes, providing excellent indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The campus features multiple student clubs that students can join through a selective process, thus enabling the pursuit of their interests and hobbies beyond academics. Another feature is a shopping complex on campus, which deals with the daily essential needs of the students. Overall, the campus environment provides both personal and professional growth through a lot of opportunities for extracurricular activities and recreation.

    IIIT-AGARTALA established in 2018 as this college doesn’t have its own campus we share the campus of NIT Agartala with hostels and mess as well. So as the name suggests this college works on PP model this is Public Private Model. So its fee is little higher than other government colleges.
