Structured and focused academic curriculum

Overall Rating
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati is an institute of national importance. The computer science and engineering branch is considered to be a good option among others. Once you come to the institute, you will not regret any more. You will automatically engage in it. Faculties are just amazing. There are many coding competitions and extracurricular activities. What you have to do is study hard with focus and determination and score a good rank in JEE. All the very best.
 

Academics Rating
You can go on its official website and check about the academic curriculum. The curriculum is very modern, and you don't have to study Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Drawing Engineering and all such things. You will be taught only programming-oriented subjects like Computer Programming, Digital Design, Mathematics, English and Electric circuit analysis in your first year. After the first year you can upgrade your branch if you have a good CGPA.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at IIITG is just awesome. The faculty to student ratio is also very good and there are 45 faculties. Most of them are Ph.D holders from IIT and also from foreign universities. Their teaching style is very interactive. They give proper attention to each and every student. After the classes, there are tutorial classes where our doubts are discussed.
 

Placement Rating
Placements at Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati are amazing. The institute has a Placement Cell, and you can go on its official website and check the statistics of each year. The placement cell is really helping the students during the placement season and throughout the year as well.
 

Hostel Rating
Our institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. Boys’ hostel which is an 8 story building can accommodate 1000 students. We also have a student activities centre where you can enjoy many curricular activities. There is a badminton court and table tennis room inside. The hostels are much better than other institutes. There are 2 newly made hostels with the capacity of 180 students with attached bathrooms.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is a single academic building with the library in it. The library has centralized AC and 24 hours Wi-Fi connectivity. The institute also has a playground where you can enjoy playing cricket, football and the basketball court is under construction. You have 24-hour Wi-Fi connectivity in your hostels also. There are many canteens available both inside and outside the campus.
 

Campus Rating
There are only 1,200 students in our campus so you cannot expect a very big campus in our institute. But yes, you can enjoy a pollution free campus life here. We have many programs organised by different clubs. There is many coding competitions organised by our technical board. Entropy is the biggest fest which the institute celebrates, and it is a Cultural fest.

    I have chosen this particular institute because the courses that are offered here are different than other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified and it is also a main reason. The placements in this college are good and this college is ranked in top 7 IIIT's. So I also suggest the students to join this college for their bright future and for enhancing the skills....     Overall the college is good for academic and placements, but the hostel life is not good. Here, the weather is very cold in the winter which is difficult to survive. The college has a sports club and the students can participate in different games like cricket, badminton, volleyball, etc. The fests that are organised in the college are also good....
