VIT Bhopal University, a part of the esteemed Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) group, is a premier private institution is located in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh. This university offers a wide range of courses, and it is based on credit system. Programs offered Undergraduate courses are Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in various specializations including Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, and more. Postgraduate Courses include Master’s programs and Ph.D. there are also the opportunities for advanced studies and research. You can easily pass the exams as the questions paper is designed by the faculties. They are comparatively easy, as most students do not study. You have to maintain 75% attendance without fail to attend the exams and a 60% attendance with a medical certificate if any, the university is very strict with attendance policy, and the attendance of every week is locked on the weekend. You can make your timetable according to your preference, they offer a system called FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) where you can select any time slot and any teacher then you want and you are comfortable with whoever you like, but the catch is that each slot is of 1.5 hours so consider this as well. The time slot ranges from 8:30 morning to 7:30 evening including a 5 minute breaks after each time slot. The 4 years of university are divided in 3+1. Your 8 semesters will be completed in first 3 years. 2 sem in 1st year, 3 semester in 2nd and 3rd year and in the last year you will sit for placements complete year.

All the faculties of this university uphold a Ph.D, but as you know that some faculties are very good, some of them are not up to the mark and some lie in between. Some of them are real gem if you can find them and work with them it can really help you.

Our university has a dedicated PAT cell, which solely focus on creating and fostering a great environment for students so that they can focus on placements. As the placements are centralized students from all 4, campuses of VIT apply for the companies arriving. However, yes the placement opportunities are very good, if you remain sincere towards enhancing your knowledge and skills then you can easily crack placements. There is a division of students based on their CGPA. Students with 9.5+ CGPA are given preference students and it is advisable to maintain at least 8.5 and above CGPA to get better preference in placement opportunities. However, there are thousands of students who scores 9 and above CGPA. You can get an idea of competition as the university intake of students every year is between 4 to 5 thousand students and the number is increasing.

There are several hostels for boys as well as girls and both are separated. It is not a Coed hostel.
There are two dedicated blokes of girl’s hostel. There are total of 7 blocks for boys hostel, it can accommodate thousands of students. There are different mess services allotted to different blocks, every block has a different mess. The mess food is bearable that you can manage life with, it is not very great jut average, and you get 4 meals in a day, breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. There are dedicated food joints near hostel blocks from where you can eat a variety of good food, but it will obviously increase your expenditure. Make sure to bring all your necessities as no electrical components are allowed inside the hostel and there is a time restriction, you are not allowed to go out of your hostel block after 10 PM. There are different types of hostel rooms available ranging from 6 bedded to 4 bedded to 3, 2, & 1-bedded rooms are available. There are various PGs available outside the campus where you can reside if you are not satisfied with the hostel amenities and fee structure. The hostels are expensive and the price increase with the decreasing bed numbers.

The university is present in a remote village Kothari Kalian, which is 70 KM away from Bhopal. So make sure to keep this in mind that you will not get city like facilities outside the campus, about there are no facilities inside the campus even but ye comparatively there are all the necessary facilities but not what you wish for. The infrastructure is not that good there are only 2 academic blocks also they are separated over a distance more than a Kilometer. There is a dedicated lab complex where all the labs of each department and there specialization is present. The labs are very advanced and very well equipped with very advanced devices that students can use to learn advance technologies. The university gets 100/100 for such good lab facilities. In addition, there is a MPH (Multipurpose Hall) where almost all sports activities are conducted, and there is one auditorium, which is smaller than your school library, but the library here is bigger than your School.

Campus Life is good with Clubs and Societies: Various student-run clubs focusing on technical, cultural, and social activities. There is a regular organization of seminars, hackathons, cultural fests, and sports events. The university offers multicultural environment fostering inclusion and broadening perspectives. You will enjoy your college life here. You I will feel that your university fee is worth. The university conducts its annual cultural fest Aditya every year in February. Campus life is more or less balanced, not that great.
