My campus experience

Overall Rating
It was my dream to study in Central University. I chose Pondicherry University because they have high scope for Earth Science, and also, I really wanted to come here because the university’s infrastructure, academic facilities, everything is awesome and personally I really liked the campus and the people. The most beautiful thing is the campus is covered with green trees and plants.
 

Academics Rating
About the course, I'm doing M.Sc integrated applied geology, and I chose this because I have interest in this field. It's a 5-year course covering UG and PG. The eligibility is to pass CUET with chemistry, math, physics. People who want to study about the earth can choose this course. It has a number of job opportunities and it's an adventurous course.
 

Faculty Rating
The Earth science department has well qualified faculties. Each and every faculty had done their doctorate degree in a specific topic, their way of teaching and explaining things are clearly understandable. The faculties are very friendly, and we can ask any doubt regarding the subject, and they will always be ready to help the students. The faculties had done lots of research and projects in IITs and NITs.
 

Placement Rating
Each and every department has placement offers and students can easily get a job. Companies all over India recruit the students at the university. Students with qualified CGPA can get placement
 

Hostel Rating
The university has hostels for both girls and boys separately. The hostel facilities are really good, and they provide campus Wi-Fi connection to the students. They have the freedom to go out till 10:00 PM and if they want to go out after that then they have to write down their details in the hostel. The security system is really good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has very fascinating infrastructure. The buildings are separated according to the department and surrounded by trees. The classrooms have AC and smart boards. They have a library and also a separate reading hall. It has a perfect aesthetic theme, and I really liked the reading room concept. They have a computer lab as well. Bus facility is provided by the university.
 

Campus Rating
Each department has their own club, and they conduct activities every year. Each department celebrates every festival like Onam, Pongal, Diwali, Holi, etc. It is celebrated in a grand manner with cultures, food, games and all. They conduct football and cricket tournaments every year. They have dance clubs, drama clubs, astro club which I really like the idea of having indoor tennis ground.

    Pondicherry University has a mesmerizing campus and the environment inside the campus is full of greenery. It feels like you are living in a tourist place, although the city itself is a tourist place. The night life in Pondicherry is something else. Here, there is literally no restriction about anything which is just amazing. One can use this freedom to enhance their skills and work towards their goal to achieve what they want.     Pondicherry University has everything which is good like facilities, hostels and mess food, etc. the mess food is average. It offers good comforting food for both north and south Indian candidates. It ahs greenery all around in the surrounding. The campus is spread in approximately 800 acres of land.
