Kirori Mal College: A Beautiful Place

Overall Rating
Kirori Mal College, which is situated in the North campus of Delhi University, is one of the most prominent colleges. This college provides courses related to all 3 streams, i.e. science, Commerce, and Arts. It offers various undergraduate and graduate level courses. My main reason for selecting this college was its credibility. It is known to have a great placement cell and along with it, it offers various extra co-curricular activities.
 

Academics Rating
I completed my B.Com (Hons.) degree in 2023 from Kirori Mal College. For this specific course, we had the cut off criteria where you get the colleges as per your percentage scored in class 12th boards. Anyone who matches the cutoff list is eligible for the admission. However, since 2022, DU has changed its admission criteria and now students have to give an entrance exam called CUET for taking admissions in any course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty was highly knowledgeable and possessed a great knowledge not just about the academic course but other practical life aspects. The teachers were always available for guiding us throughout the journey. Most of the teachers had a good experience in the teaching line. They did not just teach us through books but used various other educational tools to help us understand better and help us gaining practical knowledge. The classes were regular and all the syllabus was completed during these classes.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of Kirori Mal College is highly active and helpful to students in gaining internships and helping them to land in their first ever-corporate experience. The placement cell not only helps to acquire the jobs but also guides the students for interviews. Various big companies visited the campus during the placement season. Companies such as DeShaw offered a package as high as 24 LPA, other than that Deloitte, Bain, and Accenture were some other companies that visited the campus for hiring students.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a boy’s hostel near the college building. However, there are still no residential facilities for the girls students. Girl students coming up from different cities have to accommodate in PGs. It is believed that by next few years a girls hostel building will be there as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus building is divided into 3 wings with different classes. There is a beautiful lawn in the centre of the campus, which is known as Asoka Lawn. Students spend their time during their brakes. Apart from that, there is a huge library where you can issue books as per your need and it has a sitting area where students can read and study without any disturbance. There are computer labs and physics labs available in the college.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is amazing if being honest. Very important thing is at a close distance from the college. At the backside of college, there is Kamla nagar market, which is amazing for shopping. The metro station is at a very close distance from the college. The college organizes various events like yearly event fests and trade fairs in their own campus. There are 8 to 10 clubs that are run by students Themselves and it organize various monthly events.

    I Think my College, Kirorimal College New Delhi, is one of the finest College of India which offers multiple courses with such renowned faculties and their experience.     My overall experience at Kirorimal College, University of Delhi has been good till now. It has a diverse set of students from all streams - Commerce, Science and Arts. It has a good crowd though it is politically active. It is situated in North Campus. You can easily sign up for events happening in the nearby colleges and take part there. You'll get to interact with other people. The College’s back gate opens in Kamala Nagar. So, you can find PGs nearby. It was in my top 5 preference list.... Read Full Review
