First Impression and First Year Experience

Overall Rating
I am going to complete one year here and my experience in this institute has been very good. First of all, the campus is very big and green. The professors here are very good. They take care of studies and personal life. There are sufficient amount of resources and you never feel that there is a lack of resources here. Mechanical Engineering is the oldest branch of the institute.
 

Academics Rating
Academic part of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is also good. You have a central library with heavy amount of books and a study room, which is open for all the day including night. You have internet in library with air conditioner. You also have departmental libraries with book related to each branch. Hence, it provides all the utilities to learn and excel.
 

Faculty Rating
There are a huge number of professors in this institute. they are of very high qualifications as they have graduated from IITs, IIMs, etc. Most of them are PhD holders and have vast knowledge in their fields. There are multiple professors for a single subject, means you have many options for learning or guidance. You will be happy and satisfied with their guidance.
 

Placement Rating
Placement of Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology is also good enough. The placement rate of Mechanical branch is almost 100%. Sometimes, it may be differ around 90%. Median package of this institute is around 5 LPA Highest Package of 2022-23 batch is 18 LPA but overall placement ratio is good, Most of the students get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 13 hostels in this institute. 10 are for boys and remaining 3 for girls. Out of these 10 hostels, one is for PhD, M.Sc, and M.Tech students having single seater rooms. Each hostel has its own mess and food of that mess is nice and eatable. For first year students, they will provide 3 seater rooms.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the institute is fantastic. When it comes on the campus management, it is better than most of the central government institutes. This institute has a very beautiful green campus with area around 450 acres which is very huge. almost all the facilities are present in the campus including shopping complex, café , GYM , play ground, Student Activity Centre, 4 to 5 lakes, Gurudwara, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life of this collage is very Good. Firstly campus is full of greenery with lakes and some deers and having shopping complex , GYM , Student Activity centre , Cafe etc also apart from the campus there is a market just out side of the collage Campus which is very big and almost everything is present in that market.

    Overall Rating
    Overall, our college is quite good. Like other engineering colleges, it has some good things, and some parts of the college need to be improved. Campus is beautiful; all the amenities are fulfilled whereas placement needs to be improved. I choose this college because of the rank I obtained in the entrance examination. I would recommend this CFTI college to all students who are unable to make into IITs, NITs or IIITs.... Read Full Review

    Overall I would say this college is good. You may think the campus is in a remote location but many top colleges with huge areas are also in such locations. If you are getting it you can take it. But remember on-campus placement is not as high as IITs and good NITs have. You have to work a lot to get a high salary in tech jobs(not sure about non-tech jobs).
