A Student's Perspective on Darrang College

Overall Rating
My overall experience in Darrang College is quite good. The infrastructure of the college is good and the campus is great. It has a semi-urban campus with enough greenery. The campus is clean and environment is very sweet. The faculty is also good and supportive and course curriculum is relevant and great. Overall, I like this college along with all facilities it is providing.
 

Academics Rating
Admission in the college is quite simple. It’s totally merit based. If you have good percentage in class 12th, then you will surely get admission in the college. I personally like History, which is why I chose B.A in History (Hons.). I really think this is a great choice because the curriculum is very relevant and teachers are also kind and they try to help whenever it is possible.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of Darrang College is great. The teachers and staff members are kind hearted and helpful. Overall, the faculty members are helpful. They always clear our doubts. They have good teaching experience and knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
Actually, we do not have much placement facilities now. Nevertheless, we were informed that we would get placement facilities soon.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are both boy’s and girl’s hostels in the Darrang College. However, the mess food is not good. There are multiple accommodating options near the college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
I love the infrastructure of our college. It has great both modern and old buildings, which really makes it beautiful. I really like how classrooms are made with plenty of sunlight coming in and a suitable and quiet environment for students to study properly. In short, the Darrang College is great in terms of Infrastructure and therefore I chose this college.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of our college is great. Many fests are held frequently like the General Freshers, which is the biggest fest in Darrang College. Other numerous fests keep on happening. In addition, the college elections are held, which are very famous and different political parties with different ideologies take part in the election and only one wins. In this way, the campus life is great too.
