National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra is a Great Institute

Overall Rating
The overall experience at the institute is great. You have good peers, great exposure, decent placements and a competitive environment. The environment here pushes you to work hard as well as peers are supportive. One exclusive thing is that here bonds between seniors and juniors is commendable. They are always ready to help you. You will love your time here and will not regret your decision.
 

Academics Rating
Course and curriculum is up to date. National education policy 2020 is being followed here. You need to pass JEE Mains and get the seat through JOSAA counseling. Overall great institute for engineering. You get very good peer group which pushes you to achieve your culmination of success. In a semester, two mid semester exams and one end term semester exam is held. You can score well in them if you are consistent.
 

Faculty Rating
All faculties are well qualified and helpful. You can approach them and seek guidance. Overall they will help and tell you what to do. But they lack enthusiasm in classroom or you can say you will feel bored. Overall they will push you to work hard. Some of them are jolly in nature while some are strict and unnecessarily serious. In the end it depends on you to excel the subject yourself.
 

Placement Rating
Institute has good placement overall. In 2023-24 overall medium package was of 9 LPA and for CSE average package is of 17.63 LPA. This is quite low due to recession as compared to last year's 21.89 LPA package. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Amazon, etc. visit the campus for recruitment.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are well spaced and decent but quite old fashioned. But they have all the necessary facilities for the students. Mess food is of decent quality and eatable. Menu is maintained by students themselves. Infrastructure is good. Institute has a well spaced and equipped library.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is quite good. It is full of greenery and serenity. A large sports ground is available with all sports facilities. Institute has large buildings with good accommodation. Overall the campus is worth wandering. Campus has a pond and an eco track which you can visit to have some relief amid hectic schedule. Institute has open air theatre where several events are held.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is awesome with nice fest named Confluence (cultural fest) and Techspardha (technical fest). Clubs and societies are active here. Crowd is awesome and engaging. Some activities are happening every now and then. You will love your stay in the campus. Campus is completely free from any kind of ragging. Instead seniors are supportive and will guide you through your institute journey.

    My thoughts regarding this college are very clear. This is the best college in Haryana. The greenery is awesome. This college provides us lot of opportunities and they did many fests. I really enjoyed so much in the fests. The seniors and the faculty members are really very good. Their behavior is very nice. The teaching style of some teachers is really good.   • Life in NIT Kurukshetra

    In starting I don't like the college much because there is no event, no fresher’s party, etc. But after 20 days almost every day something is happening. Sometimes I miss some events happening in college. I choose this college because this is in my state, and I got computer science in reputed NIT. Others should take look in this college because there is no ragging and mess food is decent and seniors are very supporting. According to me this college is 9/10 not 10/10 as we can't allow to go outs... Read Full Review

    National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra is a really great college. The college has a great campus with over 290 acres of area. The college is full of greenery and the infrastructure if quite good. The classrooms and labs are fully air conditioned. The college has its own lake inside the campus.
