Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women B.Tech Review By Vyshnavee Nittala

I joined in November 2022 in Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women. I got the admission through EAPCET which is held on state level containing Math, Physics and Chemistry. My rank in EAPCET is 3968 with this rank I got seat in the admired stream of mine that is Computer Science and Engineering. I really wanted to get into this college because this college is one of the best colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

When coming to academics, college provides various courses related to different branches and the respective streams. It covers wide range of subjects, including core concepts and advanced technologies like AI & ML, and Data Science. With regular assignments, course activities, projects and internships, the program emphasizes practical learning. The addition of certification courses and skill-enhancement workshops makes the curriculum industry - aligned and career oriented. Overall, college stands out as a beacon of excellence in women's education. I chose college for its focus on empowering women and its consistent record in academics and placements.

The faculty who works here is well experienced, approachable and highly supportive. Many professors hold advanced degrees and provide valuable academic and career guidance .Their interactive teaching style, involving case studies, group discussions, real world examples ensuring students remain engaged. Professors also encourage students for doing research in different fields and college also has research cell which helps students to achieve their goal faster and many of the faculty helps students in writing journal, publications and research papers. During the time of placements, professor’s role is unforgettable; they help students in overcoming the challenges faced during interviews and always inspire us.

Yes, our college has placement cell which is responsible for getting hundreds of jobs for us. Main motive of our college is that during the end of our graduation along with the degree certificate we should also have a good offer in our hands and for this they will work harder to get good companies to college. Our college also has CNDS sessions which they teach DSA topics and core concepts needed for interviews and CRT training provides aptitude, soft skills and interview techniques. The placement process is well structured, with an average package ranging between 4 to 6 LPA.

Coming to hostel, I can say you will experience the best hostel life ever here. After completion of counseling college management announces a date to come and book the hostels of our choice and hostels are of different categories like AC rooms, non AC rooms, attached wash rooms, common wash rooms, etc. Based on one's requirements and taste one can book their favored type of hostel. Every hostel has hot water facility available for 24 hours and rooms are cleaned every day and wardens also take care of students if needed. For every hostel there are hostel representatives and we can address our issues to them and they will reach out to higher authorities. Food is also so tasty and not like other colleges. They provide food in mess with good quality and in a hygienic way.

Our college has 4 blocks naming A, B, C, and D where for first years A block is allocated and has basic sciences department in it. B block is for core branches and C block for CSE aided branches like AIML, AIDS, etc and each block has seminar halls in it. Our college also has ideal labs, research cell and jewel lab, student admission hub, students club, gym and MBA block, grounds, swimming pool, mini theatre, open auditorium, lake view, indoor auditorium, etc.

In one word campus is extraordinary. Time we spent here is so precious and created very good memories which are enough for rest of the life. Beyond the academics we also have so many student clubs like Rhythmic Thunders, ISTE Student Chapter, Photography Club, Sparta Club, Style and Slay, Splash Out, etc. in which every student can join out of their interest. College also conduct hackathons, inter college competitions, technova, freshers day, annual day, krishnastami, Christmas, farewell day and Sankranti fests. Also many orientation sessions, pre placement talks, industrial visits and a lot of other things are also organised by the college.
