National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is one of the finest engineering Institute of India having NIRF Ranking under 150. It offers various programs like B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D in various branches like computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, production engineering, civil engineering, etc. It is located at the jamshedpur city and just 3 km away from the railway junction. The college has approximately 350 acres large campus with all required facilities. Placement of this college is really good almost 95-98% students in the last year got their placement offers.

Academic environment in the college is quite competitive and the admission is done by the JOSSA counseling in which JEE main scores are accepted for the admission. Eligibility for admission for the general, OBC NCL, EWS students is that they must have taken PCM in class 12th with 75% aggregate marks and for ST/SC they must have PCM and 65% marks in 12th. Admission in M.Tech and Ph.D is based on GATE score. My main motive behind joining this college is to get more exposure for my career and get placed.

All the faculties of National Institute of Technology are really well behaved and well qualified. All of them are supporting in nature and they also give career related guidance. All of them have Ph.D degree in their respective field and also publish their research papers. Even few of them are in list of top 2% world best researchers. They use E media and other required materials while teaching.

Yes, NIT Jamshedpur has its own placement cell that helps to grab placement and internship for their B.Tech, M.Tech students. The placement rate NIT Jamshedpur as around 95-98% even few of the branches have recorded 100% placement rate in academic year 2023-24.

Hostel at National Institute of Technology are okay but it can be improved. Hostels are allotted year wise to the students like for the first year it is allotted separately, for 2nd year it is allotted separately and so on. Hostels have good Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food quality is average.

The main building at National Institute of Technology is really good and well maintained with AC rooms & labs. There are separate block for each branch under which their classes and labs are run. There is one large library with good Wi-Fi connectivity. Almost 12-13 boys and girls Hostels are available in the college and also canteen facility is available inside the college campus.

Campus Life at National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is very good. There are many clubs and committees that organize cultural fest, sports fest, technical fest and many more. Few of the most famous events of the college are Ojaas, Cultural Fest, Dandiya Night, Urja, etc. Crowd is not much but it is okay. Regular events happen in the college campus. The crowd is specially seen when cultural fest is organized and also technical fest because many students from other colleges come here to participate in the event.
