Considering it is an all girl’s college, it made me feel safe going there. It is easier for me to communicate more with the female staff and students. The college is one of the top colleges in Shillong hence I chose this college. I would get better opportunities in life.

The college is quite strict with its admission process. If the documents are not submitted on time, the student’s seat will be denied or given to another student. St Mary's College offers a huge amount course programs to any student who wishes to pursue their subject of choice. Any student who has cleared her board examination is applicable.

The teachers are quite friendly and helpful. When it comes to a student's difficulty, they are always ready to take extra classes. This helps students to learn more in difficult areas in studies. The teachers mostly are quite strict too, which intimidate the students and they find it difficult to reach out to them in case they are facing any personal issues.

St Mary's College has a beautiful park with swings and flowerbed grown around it to give a peaceful, calm environment to let student have a serene moment to them to rest and relax before classes, during breaks and whole waiting for their friends. The college offers distinct buildings for different departments. There is a library with number of books in each shelf. They are placed according to their subject of study. Each domain or subject has well-equipped lab, for example Zoology, botany lab, chemistry lab, and Geography lab.

College life is good. The environment around St Mary's College is very good too. It is also very safe and secure for the students.
