Indian institute of technology Kharagpur is one of the oldest and best Engineering institutes in India. As we can see through the NIRF ranking, it is one of the prestigious institutes and we can get admission in it by cracking Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). I can choose IIT Kharagpur over other institutes because of better placements and internships opportunities and for exposure. We get a lot of exposure here in different areas and enhance our skills. Anyone who is interested in completing engineering with a lot of exposure should go with IIT Kharagpur.

There are many departments in IIT Kharagpur. I am enrolled in the Department of Chemical Engineering. There are a lot of opportunities in this department. We can get a department based on the rank we scored in JEE advanced. The academic curriculum makes the person ready for industry and the corporate world. There are tests, quizzes, lab experiments and lab tests, mid semester and end semester examinations. There are separate labs for each department and course which have all the machines and facilities that help us to get clear and more practical knowledge about any of the experiments.

The faculties at IIT Kharagpur are very experienced. The professors of each department are highly knowledgeable, and they have a very deep interest in their field. They are passionate towards teaching and make a student able to get a high knowledge and interest in that subject. They explained each and every thing in a very good and best way. There are teacher's assistants (TAs) who are also helpful, and they help professors by solving doubts of the students and taking attendance. So overall faculties are very experienced and good.

The placements of IIT Kharagpur are very good. Most of the students are easily able to get on campus jobs. There are many companies which offer jobs in core and technical fields. Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Tata are the major recruiting companies. So overall placement and internships scenario of IIT Kharagpur is good and impressive.

The hostels of IIT Kharagpur are good. The rooms are spacious and clean. We have mess hostels so that we can take food from there. There is a gym, basketball ground, badminton court, table tennis court in the hostel so that we can play and practice there. Overall hostels are clean and good.

The campus of IIT Kharagpur is spread over 2,100 acres. It is one of the largest IIT in India. There are different buildings for each academic department. The main building of IIT Kharagpur has an academic information section in it. 'Nalanda' is the name of the building where students have to go for their lectures and classes. There are also different labs in different departments. There is a Gymkhana, where different courts and sports facilities are present including the gymnasiums. There are computer lab test zones and auditoriums. So overall IIT Kharagpur has great infrastructure.

The campus life at IIT Kharagpur is amazing. There are many societies and clubs for different skills and purposes. The institute organises different activities and seminars to engage students in all these. The cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur Spring Fest is one of the largest and biggest fests of Asia. Different artists and performers came into the campus and performed there. There is also a technical fest called Kshitij. It gives opportunities about technical aspects and entrepreneurship. The sports fest called Shaurya is also held, in which different teams take part in amazing sports. So overall campus life at IIT Kharagpur is amazing and wonderful.
