An Honest Review of NIT, Jamshedpur

Overall Rating
My overall experience at NIT, Jamshedpur is very good and amazing. I choose this particular institute because I got 99.23% in JEE Mains 2024, so on the basis of my JEE Mains rank I got this institute. It is very good in terms of academic resources and facilities and also placements here are very top notch.
 

Academics Rating
You have to get a good rank in JEE mains to get admission in this institute. My JEE Mains rank is 12000. I got Computer Science and Engineering branch in NIT, Jamshedpur. I always wanted to study Computer Science so I choose this branch.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers are highly qualified and highly supportive. They are available to you for any doubt at any time. Every faculty as a very strong academic background so they are highly qualified. Teaching style is different of different teachers. In Computer Science and Engineering branch, main knowledge is practical knowledge. They are two types of exams that happen in my institute. one is midterm examination and other one is end-term examination.
 

Placement Rating
Placement is top notch. Every year almost 90% students get placed in different companies in different roles. In my branch almost 95% student get placed in big companies with a good amount of package.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel life is very amazing and very good. There are approx. 12 hostels in my institute. Hostels are different for girls and boys. In every hostel there is a mess if you want to join mess you have to pay 18000 per semester.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Institute’s infrastructure is too good. Academic block is DJLHC in which all classes get organised. There is one large library in my campus and almost 12 to 13 hostels in my institute. There are different types of buildings for different departments. There are different labs present in our campus so you can gain practical knowledge which is much needed and make you industry ready.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is very good and amazing. There are so many fests that get organised in my institute like Urja which is get organised in October month. There are so many clubs in my institute like singing club, dancing club, technology club, etc. there so many sports activities that are organised in my institute so you can play whatever sports you want.

    NIT Jamshedpur is an Institution lying in the lap of nature with a lush green campus. The campus is not so vibrant but good enough to keep you engaged throughout the year. Tough academics, hectic events and memorable fests together will keep you busy doing the mid of the semesters. City life is actually dull, so most of the time you will be going to find yourself hanging around at random places in the campus.   • Why to choose NIT Jamshedpur over other colleges

    The placements of the college are really good and the campus is ragging free. Also we get single room hostel from 2nd year (for boys). The seniors are friendly. The college is very safe for girls. Although the male female ratio is not really good. Academic pressure is not much and one can easily get through exams by studying for few days.... Read Full Review
