PES Modern is totally Worth It

Overall Rating
Overall I'll say PES modern college of engineering shivajinagar pune is a decent good college in terms of academic and non academic activities. As it's situated in centre of city the student transport is feasible which is better for the students. If the academic and good college lifestyle is prioritized, a student may choose this college. Modern college has a rich history in cultural events which is good for students.
 

Academics Rating
I am currently doing bachelors in artificial intelligence and data science. In terms of eligibility college allocates or takes admission on basis of MHT-CET scores and JEE scores differ year by year (the cut-off). Also via management quota is another option. In terms of fees the general fee is around 74k, for OBC its 10-20k and below its 1-10k approximately. Many other scholarship schemes are initiated by college for OBC and other lower castes. Depending on the choice of student he/she may choose the branch i.e. either technical or other core branches.
 

Faculty Rating
I would say faculty of modern college is good. They contribute a lot in growth of students knowledge. Some are exceptions. Each department has a HOD who handles the whole department, approx each department has 10 teacher each who teach respective subjects. In terms of education of teacher, all teachers are highly qualified like the have done their masters or Ph.D. The faculty in short is very helpful.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there's a placement cell in our college which manages the internship and placement drives. Around 80 percent of student in college are placed regardless of their branch. Many mass recruitment companies like Infosys, Tata, tech Mahindra visit the college and other high offering companies like Dhruva, Accenture, RT camp, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
There are hostels or residential facilities provided by college. The fee is not counted in the annual fee. I am a localite so don't have much idea about the college hostel but as college is situated in centre of the city it also brings various options for students to stay like rooms on rental.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In terms of infrastructure this college disappoints. It’s a congested college with one building. Currently there is infrastructure development going on like building up the upper floors and increasing the area for parking space. The campus is short in space. Cafeteria is good. It is the only space to eat and have fun during leisure time. There is a gym for students which is beneficial for physical health and library is good for exam preparation.
 

Campus Rating
College provides many non curriculum activities like fests and support many social empowerment clubs such as rotary club which organizes camp like, blood donation, cleaner city, etc. On the insight of cultural events like dances and other performance are held in auditorium of the college. This involves high percentage of mass. Other academic clubs are initiated by college like mars club for it department. Each department has its own club like my aids department has club called codeclub.

    According to my experience, this is an average college. The environment is pretty good, but curriculum should be worked upon. This college has the best ranking, and the teachers are all Ph.D holders and Postgraduates. The staff is also good. The surrounding area offers some restaurants and cafes where students can unwind, although nightlife and entertainment options may be limited.... Read Full Review

    I gave MHTCET in 2023 and scored 86 percentile. I was allotted MESWCOE in CAP III. My overall experience is good. The faculty is helpful as well as seniors are good. I chose this Institution because it was the only option left for me but now I like it.... Read Full Review
