It is the best Institute in India and one of the best Institutes in the world. It provides you with all good facilities for studies. The professors are pretty good here; you can in hostel. They can even meet with them at their office if you have any doubts. However some professors don't teach in a simple way and understanding the topic maybe be hard that's why you have your friends to help you throughout the year and having friends in hostel is also good in killing the depression and pressure from overwhelming studies in institute. Almost everyone here is willing to help you to improve in your life, the decision is yours whether you are willing to take the help or not. In IIT Delhi they even provide you with mentors from third year or fourth year that helps you in academics and everything, they also have academic counselors for helping you in your academics. Besides studies they also have very good sports facilities and gym. All hostels have gym and you can use them for free. Overall the life in IIT Delhi is hectic but you have your friends to enjoy and many other cultural and technical fests and workshops happen all the time so it cures the academic pressure.

Academic is hectic here, in first year the courses are same for all the students. All the students will be divided into two batches, Batch A and Batch B. Batch A will study particular courses in the first semester which Batch B students will study in the next semester. IIT Delhi still has the Department Change rule for which many students’ studies all the time. From second year department specific classes start. However students can study some particular course of other departments which many students do. For example like COL106 is course of CS department about DSA which many students apply for but you require a particular CG to take that course.

The faculties here are pretty good and helping. Some are not strict about the attendance policy while some are very strict about it. But you can get previous year lecture videos of many courses which can help you to understand the topic clearly, also you will have your friends who can help you, but you will have to work very hard. Some professors teaches only in English which may be problematic for many students, so please learn to speak and understand basic English nicely and also your fluency in English will greatly help you further.

There is a placement cell in IIT Delhi called OCS (Office Carrier Services), it helps the students to get placements and jobs in top companies. You will learn more about those when you get to institute and meet with your seniors.

The hostels are maintained quite well and cleaned every day. If any light stops or the fan doesn't work, then it will be fixed soon after complaining. The bathrooms are well maintained too. Geysers for hot water are also provided. You will also have washing machines to wash your clothes and RO filter water is also provided. There are many activities and events that happen in the institute time to time, and you won't be bored at all. First of all hostel is a place where you live with your friends with whom you can discuss about studies and have fun and joy sometimes. All the hostels have residential facilities; you will have to book the date of stay from the guard desk. All the hostels are equipped with gyms and a stationary shop where you can easily get all necessary items. The hostels life will be the most memorable thing in your institute life.

The buildings and hostels are very well maintained, the maintenance team keeps it clean and tidy all the time. If anything is found faulty and not working, they change it immediately or the day prior. There are elevators for easily going up. Also all the lecture hall classes are air conditioned and the desks and the audio quality of the speakers are very nice. There is a library here in IIT Delhi which is called the Central Library, many books are available here which you can read and a large space is provided for the students to study there. Also there is computer lab in IIT Delhi called CSC in which you can avail PC if you don't have any or if you need it for some time, the internet speed is so fast there but the PC are quite old and some don't work.

The campus life is awesome here. The Institute being located in the capital of India makes the campus life so lively. You can go to roam to many places and heritage site from institute easily by metro. The institute has many plants and greenery. The roads and footpaths in the institute are well maintained. There are mainly three fests that take place, the first one is the cultural fest: - Redenzvous in which many students come from outside institutes and you get chance to meet up with them and make new friends. There are many kinds of stalls and different fun events that go on for four days, and at night there will be the main event in which famous singers or celebrities come. The second fest happens in January, which is Beacon for the entrepreneurship and business. Many company heads and entrepreneurs come to share how they became successful and there are many events related to it as well. The third fest is Tryst, which is a technical fest. Overall, you will enjoy the campus life of IIT Delhi.
