My 3 years of college experience

Overall Rating
I have chosen Panjab University for its reputation in Chandigarh. It has a nice campus area, best faculties, hostel facilities, emphasis on extra curriculum and the most important one is that it helps in holistic development of the students which also influenced my decision in taking admission here. It is considered to be one of the best universities for these reasons.
 

Academics Rating
All the admission process is online, one has to fill a form for it. On the basis of merit one can get a seat. After that there is a process of documentation also. I have taken admission in BA. I got the seat on merit basis. One can apply for regular as well as for correspondence too according to their own will.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty are really supportive, they use smart boards for better understanding along with this there are extracurricular activities supported by faculties itself for the better understanding of the students. Teachers are well-educated and they have Ph.D degrees as well. They are actively engaged in research works that benefit the students for their better and updated knowledge. They also help students in their respective career related issues.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the student gets placement opportunities from the university, and it helps students to get better jobs in the near future.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is a facility of hostels for girls as well as for boys. While filling the form one has to choose the option of hostel. The mess food is quite tasty and nutritious. Even hostel rooms are quite ventilated with windows.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is quite big and there are a number of blocks, buildings, bhavans and a library with a plethora of books. There is an eating joint, park, auditorium and a hostel are a part of the university. An area for parking and an ATM is also there for the convenience of students. The classrooms are quite spacious.
 

Campus Rating
My overall experience was awesome. There are a number of fests which take place in the university. Elections are a really interesting part of college life. The crowd is really engaging and parties participating in elections host functions like "Ek sham himachal nam”, Swagtam, etc. Overall, the experience is great. The evening view is really amazing. One can enjoy with their friends, can hang out in the campus area and enjoy the moment.
