I'm student at Bhilai Institute of Technology, a prestigious college located in Durg, Chhattisgarh, pursuing bachelor's in technology in Data Science Branch. It is affiliated with CSVTU. The college infrastructure is very nice, lots of greenery, good locality with easy accessibility. The faculty of Bhilai Institute of Technology is very knowledgeable, having an experience of many years. Getting admission here can be using two ways, either donation (privately) or securing a good rank in CGPET (Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test). I secured a decent rank 19 in this exam in the year 2024. It is one of the best colleges in Chhattisgarh for pursuing career in engineering.

As far as academics are concerned, I'm far satisfied with the teaching model equipped here at BIT, Durg. This college focuses mainly on academics. You will not be complaining about unnecessary free periods or lack of instruments in labs. Here most of the students are those who want to make most of their college lives. Surely you will face competition which is better when we talk in long run as it will help you develop your skills on various fields.

As far as the faculty available at BIT, Durg is concerned, All teachers here are Ph.D professors and they provide quality education. They are extremely educated with lots of knowledge and experience. Many Students praise them for their teaching skills, helping nature and lecture delivering abilities without making it bore with adequate interaction with students. Learning from them is really a blessing. They give sufficient assignments to make students have strong grip on the concept and also relate concept with many practical life examples.

As far as the topic of infrastructure of BIT, Durg is concerned. The various streams or branches classes have been separately organized in different block buildings within the campus. The college has various playgrounds and gardens. There is spacious canteen providing huge variety in menu. Every branch has separate classrooms and has their own labs. The Lab equipment's are also more than required for properly conducting class. There is separate vehicle parking for both Boys and Girls.

Talking about Campus life at BIT. There are many clubs like Astro club, vista club, NSS, MEA and many other associations. Entering into these clubs is done by the process of interviewing. There is no dearth of events. You can participate in any of the events organized by the mentioned clubs. Also, BIT organizes hackathons like SIH (Smart India Hackathon) in which student teams from various other prestigious colleges like IITB, VIT Vellore, etc. showcase their models and solution to various problem statements. So, campus life here is very enjoyable. Learning here is fun.
