My Perspective About Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering

Overall Rating
This is the only college which have Marine Engineering course under the government of Kerala. It has its own reputation and standard. The free structure is better than the other marine engineering colleges in India. Above 90% placement is assured by the college. This college provides more enough freedom for the students according to the students concern.
 

Academics Rating
When we are looking to the academics side it is far better than the other colleges, because the college authorities or the staffs were providing more facilities to improve the student’s academics. This course is a residential course, so the students were getting more time to focus on their academics. The academics consist of 8 semesters and it contains credit system, if the credits scored are below the required credit, the student will get year back.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of this college were very much sincere and dedicated. They are putting more effort to bring up the students to their maximum level without giving any stress. And they are very much interactive. Also they are very strict about the duties and responsibilities. They are very efficient in their own subject. All of them are well qualified.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is provided inside the college campus itself.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There is a ship in campus provided with the exact model of the ship which is helpful for improving the ideas of the students about the ship and it gives more knowledge about the real ship, it contains real engines which are used in the ships. A sewage treatment plant is also provided in the campus. The surroundings of the college are very neat and clean. Overall, it has well maintained infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is good in my opinion. There are 30+ departments under CUSAT. So you have access to programs conducted by them. Tech and arts fest are conducted every year. My department has NSS, Electronics clubs, and more. Sports event are also there and you can participate if you like any sports. And if you are good at it then you will be selected to CUSAT University teams.

    Overall, the experience is good. Faculties are professional with required or more than required qualifications and experience. The core marine subjects are taken by retired or ongoing Chief Engineers and captains. Classrooms have enough facilities and laboratory equipment.     Studying at Kunjali Marakkar School of Marine Engineering is an enriching journey. The college is well known for its excellent teaching and good infrastructure. More than ninety percentage students are placed in various national and international companies.     I should say that it is the best institute to study B.Tech in Marine Engineering in India as it gives a good environment for the students for their studies and other cultural and the extracurricular activities such as sports and arts. As the facilities and infrastructure are the best, this institute is highly recommended for joining to pursue B.Tech Marine Engineering.
