Qualified Faculty at Gargi College, New Delhi

Overall Rating
Gargi College, New Delhi has a great environment, amiable faculty. You'd find the smartest peers all around and has got one of the best cultural societies in the Delhi University. The red walls, dynamic history and alumni network is fascinating. Though the NIRF ranking exhibits a declining trend from the last few years, still it is considered to be one of the top colleges for women in India.
 

Academics Rating
There are diverse courses offered at Gargi College, New Delhi. Varied across the Arts, Science and Commerce stream. Popular courses include Psychology, English, Business Economics, and Life Sciences. Gargi College has been awarded the ‘Star Status’ by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. There are various short terms add on courses in regards to the skill enhancement like foreign language courses.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at the college are experienced, often holding PhD's. Many professors have published their research papers including the guest lecturers. Faculties actively support students in research projects through, methodologies and presentations. For specifically Science related courses, labs are supervised by professors who ensure hands on learning as well as conceptual clarity. Also, many professors are advisors for the societies and play an active role in organizing fests and academic conferences.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell at our college, they work really hard to help us secure our desired placement, but again due to the declining ranking of the college, not many top companies are willing to hire.
 

Hostel Rating
No, we don't have any sort of residential facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure includes a clean and well maintained green space that creates a pleasant vibe for students. There are various activity zones for cultural events and society rehearsals. A few classrooms are equipped with projectors. The best classrooms are the Lecture Theatres, ventilation and lighting is fairly good there. Well equipped Science & Computer labs that are maintained regularly and can be accessed by the students anytime. Auditorium used for cultural events, seminars and programs is really spacious.
 

Campus Rating
There are over 20 active college societies including drama (Kshitij), dance (Enliven), debate, fine arts (Nazaakat). Also, the mix of students from across India, do contribute to the rich and inclusive environment. One would find loads of lush green, shaded benches and open space for casual hangouts or self study. The annual fests of Diwali (Zistatva) and Reverie are major highlights; students have loads of fun, featuring music, dance, and celebrity performances.

    Gargi College is one of the top girl’s colleges in India. For me, I just wanted to study outside my own state and for my subject that is Political Science ,it seemed to be a good option.
