Dr. D.Y. Patil Law College Pimpri, Pune-18, was established in the year 2001 It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule University, Pune. Although it was established a long time ago, the college as a whole is now in its developing stage. It is located a bit far from the main city but has great connectivity throughout the city, leading to greater access to the IT Hub. The campus has well-equipped infrastructure and resources for students with a few permanent faculty. However, the crowd is not up to the mark.

As of now, DPU Law College only provides BALLB and LLB courses and enrolls students on the basis of MH-CET rand and cut-off, which may differ every year. It stands at fourth place in government-aided colleges after ILS, Fegursson, and Modern. Apart from these courses, the college offers various diploma courses in the fields of Cyber Law, Tax law, Labour Law, and a certification course in Forensic and Medical Jurisprudence. Examinations are conducted at the end of every semester. However, the college changed its pattern last year itself and conducts periodic internal assessments and viva. The college faces law attendance issues as attendance isn't mandatory.

The faculty is decent and cooperative. The teaching as well as the non-teaching staff is always eager to help students. There are only five permanent faculties as of now in the whole course. Assistant professors are recruited on a contractual basis for a term that is subjected to renewal. The teachers use engaging and effective teaching methods and provide relevant study materials. The BA faculty mostly teaches in Marathi, which may be a barrier for students from other states.

There are no campus placements yet. Nevertheless, the college has established its placement cell this year itself, and one of the ex-students was placed through the placement and recruitment cell. The cell is fully driven and enthusiastic, and it is all set to expect campus placement in the upcoming years.

The hostel is located outside the campus and has good infrastructure. There are separate buildings for boys and girls, ensuring safety. AC/non-AC rooms are available for single, double, or triple occupancy with free access to Wi-Fi, a GYM, and a mess providing breakfast, lunch, refreshment, and dinner.

The college has a polished campus with well-equipped resources with the aim of providing quality education. There are three floors solely dedicated to law with a library with access to various legal platforms like Manupatra, NSS Center, Legal Aid Clinic, Meditation Room, and Cafeteria. Separate classrooms for BA LLB and LLB students have integrated technology with digital boards and projectors. There is no auditorium owned by college but it has access to auditoriums of Medical college and ACS college.

DPU Law College has a decent campus life as several events, fests, and festivals are organized mostly by the cultural committee and sports committee. The college collaborates with Medical and ACS (Arts Commerce Science) campuses to organize various events. It also organizes several guest lectures, which helps in shaping student's careers. The quality of teaching is hindered initially, but the faculty of LLB teaches in English. Various student-run committees have been set up this year to engage effectively.
